I have some of those motors... actually, I have a load of them, because I can buy them on Taobao here in China for 7.5rmb each (about 1 euro?). They're OEM for (I think) the Dobby folding selfie quad from 5-6 years ago. They were designed to take folding props, hence the weird spacing. LDARC/ Kingkong sells little triblades with that spacing, I think they're 1.9 or 2 inch from memory. I used these motors on my wife's Cinelog 25, where they're protected by the ducts and the props are pushed on by their own thrust (Cinelog is a pusher quad, of course) so less likely to fly off, they work fine. I've also used them on my own 3 inch basher with Gemfan 3018s, pushed on, and never had any issues. You're right, the motor wire is reeeeally thin gauge- probably why they put the LEDs on. This looks like a nice little quad otherwise.

Hey Matt i m also In china in shanghai and I just bought it. However, it looks like I didn t have the same version has the one we see in review from US or UK.. have you got the same thing? Also it looks like I can t change vtx. I went in betaflight, put it l on 200 but in my osd it still says 100 and I don t have a lot of range.. even when I am in front of me I have sags ( but I think is because I have cheap goggle the VR02 from betafpv..)

@@martindeschamps9856 Hey Martin, no- I don't have that particular model, but I do have some of those motors. Do you know which VTX it is? If Betaflight isn't changing the channels for you, it's usually because the wrong protocol is selected (Smart Audio or Tramp). Tramp is easier to set up because with Smart Audio, different versions aren't cross compatible. 100mw should give you decent range, the first thing I'd do to be honest is to check that you're actually on the correct channel- if Smart Audio isn't working, you don't know if the channel you're seeing in Betaflight is actually what it's set to. You could be on a close channel but not the correct one. Next, I'd look at fixing Smart Audio. There's a fairly active Shanghai FPV WeChat group and the guys there can be quite helpful, not sure if you're in it or not. Feel free to add me- just search by name (that's my real name here on KZread) and I can put you in. It's worth getting it sorted because a crappy video experience can put you off for life, I don't know whether you're experienced or an old pro, so I'm making no assumptions here.

I liked mine well enough definitely a contender to the thf but darwin so far has been pretty shady as a company if they get it together id like to try more of their products.

look like old emax motors from the og babyhawk the avan 2.3 has the hole pattern on it im 90% sure thats what them motors are

They look like the same motors used on the original Emax Baby Hawk. I have a couple of Gremlin builds using them from the kit flite test used to sell (they have changed the electronics since)

Not bad for the price. Mines now got the caddx ant, Express lrs ep2, eachine nano 400mw vtx and foxeer lolipop antenna.. absolute badass.

i got one just because and its fine , on a 450 just cruzing almost 8 min. , run it hard yep 3 or so. but 15- 30 mph winds all week and could zip around no problems . nice n quiet neighbors don't notice. lol

My buddy’s oldest son rips the crap out of it. He hasn’t been lucky with the motors. But he crashes all the time. We did end up changing the motors out

That's pretty much what I would expect ... But after besides the motors and standoffs I don't see anything that's really worrying me

Hello Dave, i have the rekon 5 4s with 1550mah lipos and a hero 6 naked. My Problem is that i have much virations and jello in my footage, do you have an tip for me how i can fix it?

I have one and its great, and still is after a bunch of lipo's, if you consider buying one just do it.

Those are most likely old EMAX motors And 3 minutes is very low, I have same drone, maybe I don't rip that much, but from 3s 450 I get at least 5 minutes. Those motors are not that high in terms of KV, 4300, which is not a lot for 3s, as I think

Built to a price or... we got a ton of these cheap motors. lets get rid of all these nylon standoffs. but probably all ya need. LED motor wires makes it fun. wouldn't break your heart if it crashes.

Uaaah, den Prop nicht so fest draufdrücken, sonst verbiegt die Welle oder der Stator reißt ab. Den haben ja schon einige vorgestellt. Wohl für jemand gedacht, der mit BF starten will. Für das Geld bekommt man kaum einen guten gebrauchten. Würde ihn trotzdem nicht kaufen, weil bestimmt keine taugliche Hardware verkauft ist. Es ist aber interessant, wie günstig man schon komplette Kisten anbieten kann. Hab die letzten Tage nen Flywoo Expl 4 LR HD V2 getuned und da muss man schon Abstriche machen. Der liegt bei sagenhaften 350$. :-)

Ja wobei.. ordentliche 1303 oder 1204 drauf und die standoffs gegen alu Wechsel dann ist das Ding eigentlich ohne Abstriche brauchbar. Die Elektronik ist echt nicht schlecht

These definitely have the right name. Bought one of these and it really is rubbish. Darwin may evolve into a brand of quality but this isn't quality. FPV supply is now a racket as so much of it is over priced and what isn't is junk.
