Super Bright Foglight LED Bulb Installation on Toyota RAV4 2019 2000 2021
Upgraded yellowish foglight to LED and it was super easy! 5 minutes per side. Made a DIY video and light output video.
Night and day difference when driving. Foglights mainly floods the ground and shouldn't blind oncoming traffic. Wall beam pattern test shows it's lined up with the headlights and provides a wider beam.
Cost: $50
Difficulty: Easy!
Tools Used: Flathead Stubby Screwdriver

Great video! Better than paying $299 for led upgrade from the dealership.
Took 5 minutes each side as Warren said. A big difference. Thanks Warren. Keep up the good work.
Super easy, thanks to this video. I spent more time last night trying to follow another video that tried to replace them from the top on just ONE side than it took me to change both this way. They can be reached from the top, but that's about it (for me at least). Thanks, Warren!
Best install video I’ve seen! all I could find initially were full housing replacements or adding fogs to one that didn’t have any to begin with, appreciate this one.
Thank you, looks a lot easier than the Ford Escape I had before this RaV4
Thanks Warren for the video this makes my life easier and nothing to worry replacing mine. All the best for your future.
Thank you so much for the very informative video... I learned a lot from your video... It is the best one out here... After watching your video, I was able to do it on my own and save me a lot of money... Thanks again...
Thank you!!! Salutes from Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
Great video and great one-handed dexterity haha. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this instruct- specially how to put that button clip back on..I didn't know there was an open and close. LOL back out to finish
Thanks a bunch man! It was a simple installation to do. SGV!
Great video. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you ..very easy and straight on point
I like how the fog lights give you a bright, close-up, wide beam of light.
Here the thing i couldn't follow your video because it didn't match what I have , maybe it's the year (2019) the model(limited) or the country (Canada) but you said something that prvented me from going insane trying to put back those hellish tabs, you said don't forget to open them ...i was struggling for 40 minutes while also browsing the internet for a solution... I'm far from being a handy man , but i can follow PRECISE steps like any other normal being and the one i was following that kinda looked like mine stopped just after testing the new lights... So thank you again
Thanks bro, you really help me a lot
great video i watched others trying to do it from the bottom but that wasn't working for me till i found your video. Bet the plastic screw was placed there for easy access to the fog lights. Thanks!!!
Very cool, I have a 2021 RAV4 XLE Hybrid
Great vid!!! 😎
Thank you❤
Thanks for sharing. My wife is wanting coloured fog lights for her 2021 Rav 4 Magic lightning
Thanks bro
Great easy to follow video. BTW Warren, I clicked on the Amazon link. Amazon says it won't fit the 2019 Rav4.
Thank bro... 👍
Thanks for this video! Why they didn’t do stock fog light LEDs makes no sense to me 🤦♂️
Hey warren do you have a step by step on how to install the fog lights for a Tacoma without tapping into the existing headlights?
Any advice on what to do if taking off the one tab doesn’t allow you to reach in and change it?
I am having trouble getting the liner plugs back in. Any hints? I don't want to damage anything.
2019 is the start of the 5th gen. How have these held up so far?
Is this installed in a hybrid rav4? The inverter went out when I chamge my high beam to led in my 2015 camry hybrid
yea, so annoying why they don't throw in a few pennies to match fog lights with led headlights, great video!

This is stupid, a fog light isn’t supposed to be like the headlight, it’s supposed to be yellow to cut through the fog. Congrats, you just made it useless
Which brand of the led light you use, have the link to get it, thanks😊
Where can I get replacement bulbs. The bulbs don’t last long
Did the fog light ever build moisture inside it once you changed it
unfortunately It's unavailable already in Amazon but really good, there's a big difference than the stock 1
So I want to confirm something, the head light bulb is the exact size as the fog light bulb??? Pls confirm
Grate vidio than you
I have a 2021 Rav4 and wanted to ask if you want to change the headlights low beam to led would H11 would be the same size? Factory lowbeam headlight is terrible.

From what I understand, the 2021 RAV4 (all models) come with factory LED headlights. Because of this, you wouldn't be able to change them. That's why it's best to go as bright as you can for the foglights to supplement the light output.
El Monte haha no way. I live near that dealership
Cool video. One question - did bending the fender trim flap weaken the hinge point? Some of the ABS type plastic doesn't like bending and it will weaken it.

Yes I pulled back the fender liner for more space. You don't need to fold it or bend it, but I did it so the camera could better see what's behind it. And on the 2021 toyota rav4, the fender liner doesn't seem to be the harder ABS plastic that is traditionally found on older cars. It's like a more flexible fiber insulation line. Hard to describe it, but what I did in the video didn't weaken or leave any marks or folds from what I could tell.

I had to replace them once recently, but they're inexpensive and easy replacements that it's not a big deal. My tires or even a few gallons of gas is more expensive then a set of these lol
Do this work on rav 4 hybrid xse 2021?
@wallin626
Жыл бұрын
As long as it has round foglights like in the video, it'll work. I know some of the newer XSE has built in LED foglights already so that might not be an option. If it's yellow-ish white like the "before", then it's upgradable.
what was the brand of led?

There's a direct link to the LED we used. Technically it's an LED headlight bulb that were fitting into the fog light. That's why it's so bright
Amazon say's it won't fit my 2021 Toyota Rav4 XSE Hybrid. Sad!

If you're purchasing aftermarket LEDs, just go with H11 / H16. They are cross compatible. Sometimes the compatibility on Amazon isn't updated, but it will fit. I do LED installations for a living.

@@wallin626 I found ones on Amazon that work. Already installed. Thanks.
I bought h11 and they didn’t fit lol. I need h16. I have a 2020 rav 4 hybrid

Did you purchase H11 aftermarket LEDs? If you purchased H11 halogen bulbs, they will not fit. Most aftermarket LEDs for h11 are cross compatabile with h16. Hope you were able to find something that works though. I have had seen some people not push the connector in far enough
This video is 1 year old. May we have a update?
@wallin626

Yes, it's been over a year and after constant use, I have had to replace these once. Not a biggie as light bulbs are considered consumables. They're easy enough to replace and cheap enough to not break the bank.
IT MUST BE h16 your led bulb is not h16 , its wrong

If you're purchasing aftermarket LEDs, just go with H11 / H16. They are cross compatible. Sometimes the compatibility on Amazon isn't updated, but it will fit. I do LED installations for a living. They are physically the same shape, but H11 usually higher wattage designed for headlight use. The only time it won't fit is if within the connector they have a little tab that prevents you from connecting the H11 into H16 connector. Usually aftermarket LEDs will leave all all the tabs which is why they'll tell you to connect it one way and if it doesn't power on, reverse the connector for polarity.
No good for actual FOG. Too bright,. All you will see is Whiteout. There cool and all, no good tho unless u live out in the country with not many other road users, youl completly dazzle oncomming traffic. But they look cooL right :-/ Literally the only scenario to use these is country road, no one else on the road.
