The introduction of the Vikings defense was the last time I had hope in this game. My 7 year old self clearly remembers seeing them introduce Wally Hilgenberg, and hoping for a victory. Sadly, 50 years later it still hasn’t happened. If only Ed White had blocked Buoniconti. If only a bogus clip wasn’t called on Stu Voigt. If only Porter had recovered Jake Scott’s 1st quarter punt muff. Funny holding call on Hilgenberg gave the Dolphins 4 points to start the second half. If only Curtis Johnson had shorter fingernails. Who was offsides on the onside kick? Kingsrighter was inbounds on the 3rd and 16. A lot of ifs, but everything went wrong for the Vikings in this game, and that defense intro brought me back to where three more Super Bowls had not been lost yet, and five more NFC championship losses hadn’t happened. Welcome to the last moment of Viking fan bliss. Cheers everyone!

As a long time Miami Dolphin fan this is like opening a gift on Christmas morning!! Thanks for your hard work. I've always wanted to ask you this question, I know you probably have a lot of sports that you cannot put on KZread for obvious reasons, and I'll understand if you don't won't to answer. But would you happen to have the 1971 AFC Championship game from January 2, 1972? Between the Baltimore Colts and the Miami Dolphins.

Still don't understand why Pete and the site commission chose Rice Stadium to host the Super Bowl and not play the game in the Astrodome right down the road. Imagine how much more dramatic and impressive a game of this magnitude would look inside a huge domed structure, which for the time still evoked a futuristic look.

Astrodome was too small, it only seated 50,000 people, not enough for a Super Bowl. Even if they were to add temporary seats, they could have put in only maybe 10,000 bleachers seats at best. Remember the previous year over 90,000 attended Super Bowl VII in Los Angeles.
