Probably because they think of all historical peoples as being gone, not just native ones. It's the arrogant view of those living towards those who went before.

Was there a few times just a couple months ago, when it still had snow on the ground. Curious how much damage was done, and how it heals. I'm guessing Colleen is from the Phoenix area. It was like 60 that day and she was in a down coat. :-)
Wtf 12news?!?! The forest ranger said that it didn't burn down as much as they thought it would, yet the title of the clip says burned in its entirety. Shame shame shame. I hate Mark's face & his weaselly voice.

It was misleading, but probably due to imprecision. It might be the "entirety" referred to the land area of the Monument being exposed to the flames, not the buildings or trees being completely destroyed. Don't attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
Was Wupatki affected also?
Now just who did start this fire? Point of origin is Shultz Pass...again!
