all due respect for the old school pipe method. Why would you not use Pex its so much simpler and faster??

How far out does the drop eat threaded 90 come out from the stud for the spray held.

With the location of the drop ear's the copper pipe is standing proud of the wall studs. When attaching the backer board, if that is what was used, how was the interference the pipe caused by being proud handled? Was the backer board cut, and or tile, notched on its back side? I'm currently installing the 3-function shower system by Sunrise. Thank you.

I am running into same issue using pex line. Guess I just need to back the valve so the pipe doesn't offset the backerboard. Did you guys need to adjust?

@@neillarson974 so what I ended up doing was putting the valve back as if it was a normal shower fixture. Then just put closed brass nipples with couplings. Worked perfectly.

Same question ….. would think the pipe needs be behind studs but instructions say ell flush with tile. Anyone use just a straight female adapter?

You know it's ok to talk in your videos, right? I literally came here to see how far past the stud you put the 90's. I can see they're protruding past the stud. But that's it.
