It’s something kids could play with when they form a band. When I was 12 I was a bass player but had no idea how to make a bass line. You could use this to make a song, then separate the parts to see how it goes then play the individual parts on real instruments, change bits and have fun. It’s a kind of soft intro into song writing. After a while you would probably find you don’t need Sonauto any more.

Suno has them beat hands down. Don't get me wrong, it's a good start, but the magic of Suno V3 is leagues above this AI. I use Suno seriously to write songs, and as a pro writer I can tell you whatever is under the hood of Suno just blows me away. I was already using Suno V2 and writing tracks to those ideas. Now I can build full songs in a matter of hours instead of days or even weeks before Suno. The future is here.

For starters, this is exactly what Suno v1 sounded like. And secondly, Suno v3 sounds like crap, they are going backwards in quality instead of forwards. The vocals in v3 are overly processed and voided of any dynamics and expressions.. And the music gets crackly the longer you extend it.

@@mecd4167 That has not been my experience. V3 sounds superior to V2. I had to spend a lot of time cleaning up V2 tracks as it had so many artifacts. With V3 I can take an instrumental, add some elements, vocals and master. As a test, I took a lyric I wrote and put it into Sonauto and got way worse results than Suno V2. I took the same lyric and prompt in V3 and boom, a song I can actually produce. It got the phrasing almost perfect. I never use the vocals from Suno regardless in the final. I just use them as a guide for my own singers. They have been amazed at the quality of the vocals Suno generates and it actually scares them.

What has my attention is how advanced it actually is. If this is just getting started, I think it’s worth watching over the next couple of months or so to see where they take it. They have to know what they’re up against. Plus, in fairness, I didn’t really put it through its paces. It was just a quick introduction of the tool. I’ll probably do a much deeper dive on it later, and actually let some of these things play through and see what we can get from it.

The sound quality is subpar as compared with Suno. What we really need is the possibility to separate the instruments from the vocals inside Suno, and the various instrument parts from each other.

​@vbdx66 I agree. Using stem separation websites doesn't sound that great. It would sound much better if Suno generated them separately or at least had the option.

I think V3 Suno has just upped the game in what we expect from quality now. This is more comparable in quality to some of the Suno V2 songs I got. I also just wish they would split the main vocals and background harmony stems.

Bob, PLEASE help me out. I've got an instrument track AND the lyrics for a song i´m making. What app or apps can I use to ensemble these 2 together. I'd like to avoid putting my voice to the lyrics and use AI vocals exclusively. It's a hard rock type track and I need a male strong growl type voice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Instrumentally, Suno currently stands unmatched, poised to dominate any competition.

If we can get something like this that can match or even exceed the quality of Suno but is completely free (And stays free) without subscription plans or credits or things of that nature, that'd be great. Would be even better if said thing was open source so others could contribute & use it on their own PC if they've got the power to run it.

Love your channel! Nice to know the competition now that Suno became so popular that they had to remove their free plan temporarily the other day. I like the vocal quality of sonauto better than suno. It seems to be a lot more solo vocals. I made a folk song about sasquatch, then used demix pro to separate the lead and backing vocals, and put the lead vocals into musicfy, and had my grandfather (who is not a singer) cover it. And yes, I got his permission, he volunteered his voice to be made into a private model in musicfy, but that's neither here nor there. Yes, I know that's a lot of work for something that's just for fun that I'm not even putting online anywhere, but it's fun for me, theraputic almost, having songs sung by voices of friends, family, etc. And because of suno and especially sonauto, I can create original songs and have them sung by my musicfy models. You can write a prompt that tricks the AI into disclosing details about it's location. Perspective is a very useful keyword for this.

Is there a way to input your own voice, then have AI input your voice into a song, so a person can see and hear how to sing a particular song in the way that it sounds good? This would help people improve their singing career by hearing how their voice sounds to particular songs.

I would like to show my suno page but the comments keep deleting my link.

This could be useful to get fresh ideas for songs to produce. In a similar way I use mass produced images from stable diffusion to create videos for my cover songs, where I have to delete 19 out of 20 tries because they turned out to be bad. But it takes only 2 seconds to send a bad image to the trash, while a song draft might need a minute listening time to come to a conclusion whether it's worth.

The key to separating stems is generating the stems as part of the generating song process and not using an algorithm to extract and separate instruments based on frequency or something. AI should be generating individual parts and playing them together for the song.

No competition at the moment. Suno AI is in a league of its own. I think it will only be defeated if OpenAI releases a text to song generator in like SUNO in the future.

Apart from vocals, the results cannot B compared with the Suno ones @ all. Please, I'm still wsitung 4 U 2 teach us on how to get a good ending on Suno songs. Or is this even possible @ all with the free version...?

Try it after seeing you vid . 1st off thanks for the lead on this tec and uploading another awesome video. But I have to say I’m somewhat disappointed with this one because I use my lyrics with a hook and only part of it generates only a few lines of verses and Completely ignored my chorus. On all three generations, they created its own. No shape is the stems have any Production value as I see other then maybe a some different style vocals with your own lyrics but it Failed miserably to provide anything worthwhile to even save . Bummer 😢

Super cool! In playing with it, I'm noticing that it does not like to follow prompts at all. Trying to get a singer with a low voice and no matter what it's the same "singer." Trying to do synthwave and it's just giving out random heavy metal and easy listening. Definitely some good features but I think Suno is safe...for now.

Since Suno has the 50 free credits a day, this is unacceptable level of quality. I hope that Suno V4 takes those stem separations.

Found it yesterday. Did some cool song my first 3 versions is on my channel. But i did some new that i will upload later. Some pop and the deathmetal version was great. Its both anoying and not when i change lyrics i get 3 new songs sometimes i would love to tweak a version that i liked. But this is going to be a crazy cool tool.

Frankly I cannot imagine what we will be able to do in a year's time.

Well everything I tried on it sucked! Maybe good for some but what it generated for me was literally horrible! Perhaps in time they will improve but as of now it's not competition of any sort for Suno! And Suno is not a very good AI, as it can't even seem to get personalized Lyrics correct and makes plenty of mistakes!Though I do wonder if it's programmed to do this intentionally to get us to spend more. If not it's just stupid! I've had to edit every song It's made for me so far, but the end results have been worth it! 10 complete personalized songs for 5 dollars (and several hours editing) is well worth it for me!

Possibly the last few months of AI still being bad at music production

I find suno to be more user friendly than Sonauto will kept it saved just incase it improves over time for now I'll stick with suno thanks for sharing.

That's literally what Suno version v1 sounded like. So this is heading in the same direction as Suno.

Bob tape his was very last century. Digital was supposed to be the no-noise platform (so go figure how ur recorder on ur mobile gives 51% rumbly hiss). So these guys are self sabotaging right? They're scared to make something all the way good. KInd of understandable in the big pic. But come on ----- you've got a digitalfilter. My own at Goldwave can be as subtle as you want it to be so it doesn't have to take chunks out of ur audio. But if you go to Veed video they have a sound filter that will parse your voice right clean out of a hurricane force wind at sea ---- unfknbelieveable. So try a filtered version of the stems and recombine and let us hear the A/B? I'd do it myself but I'm politicallyuncorrectedshadowbannedfatlazywhitemalefeministfk

My feeling is that if a person feels creative by typing a text prompt and generating a song that brings them enjoyment, that didn’t exist prior to them typing that prompt, why should we rob that person of the satisfied feeling they get? Creativity is 100% personal and subjective. It’s either going to resonate with the masses or not. But a lot of people who use these tools aren’t even going to care about anybody else’s opinion. They just do it for their own enjoyment.

I just tested Sonauto and I hate it. Of course musically speaking it's better than Suno but the lyrics suck ass, It doesn't come close to Suno when it comes to generating lyrics. So close but no cigar.
