06/05/2020: I am homesick for beautiful Los Alcazares. Hubby & I overwinter here and even in that season the prom walk is still as stunningly breathtaking. Now we are in lockdown in the UK. There is so much confusion about when and even if we will be allowed to holiday in this area again. Your video soothed my soul and brought a smile to my face. Thank you, Matt. I shall be visiting and watching this video many times until we can, once again, visit what we consider to be our second home in Europe.

Hi Chris, thanks so much for your kind words. As it happens, this is one of my favourite videos and I'm watching it while I type this reply to you. I remember it so well and I can feel the warmth of the sun, plus the noises and smells. My thoughts are the same as yours concerning lockdown - we are (or were!) regular visitors to Los Alcazares and the the Mar Menor Golf Resort and I miss the area so much! We were due to visit about now (May 2020) and hopefully again in September 2020 but thanks to COVID-19, we're all under a form of house arrest for the time being. I pretty sure I have more video to upload of Los Alcazares and the surrounds and the only good thing about lockdown is that I'll be able to do it sooner than I originally thought! By the way, my wife told me today that a restaurant we like called Little Sicily (family owned and run) is soon to re-open. I think it will be for outside tables initially, but it's a start! I have a video to upload in the next day or so of a Fuji camera and after that I will do my best to upload more sunshine footage. Thanks again for your kind words; they mean a lot to me and it makes me want to keep doing this. All the best, Matt.

@@mattcarter-bennett Hi Matt, where you started this video from was the 'Old Town' area, walking towards the 'New Town.' Perhaps on your next hol you might do another video starting from the other end of the prom. When there are winds the sky and mar menor are drifting colours of the 'sails' of wind-surfers. Let me know when you've uploaded your next videos. Who knows, maybe hubby & I will bump into you one of these days in Los Alc.

Hi, From what I can find out, the clean up operation is still ongoing. I don't know the latest regarding buildings/road damage. If I hear any more, I'll post the information.

the jellyfish here aren't poisonous or dangerous in any way :) children play with them because they are 'cute' :)
