Hata mniambie nini, despite all we've been through this year there's no denying it has been a blessing in disguise.For starters it brought about this chanel na nimekam to learn a lot as a young adult. Mkurugenzi amenifanya nione another side of life through other people's stories.At the beginning of the year I was depressed mbaya to a point sikuwa naona purpose ya life then I discovered this chanel ikakuwa therapy. Ferry ya Mtongwe, I was 4 years then can't remember the incident I was young, though I grew up in MSA, Kongowea,my dad used to cross the ferry with 'Mkokoteni' alikuwa anabebea watu mizigo,lucky him that day I was sick he didn't go to work as usual he stayed at home, that's how our supernatural God works in ways you can not tell, maybe had he gone to work he would have been among the people who perished, after the incident he lived 3 more years and went to be with the lord...God gave him time to live well which he did 😅, happy new year wakurugenzi family

I lost my Aunt in that ferry incident, however my cousin was rescued. She was 4years then. Everytime i think about the incident and see no progress made to avoid such accidents, i feel as if its time for Kenyans to take action and not depend on leaders for their rights. Keep up the good work Mkurugenzi. Been a silent viewer, this video just happened to hit a nerve.

I was only 5 years when the mtongwe happened but will never forget the images that were shown on KTN.

Of all the intros I've watched, this one iko so insightful. I wish all kenyans had such revelations

I will never forget that day I was there with my family and was almost boarding it but tukaona imejaa and decided to take the next one, I was young but that picture will never leave me.Am greatful to be alive today🙏🏽

This has caused jitters in me and the aqua phobia in me is alive..That fateful day of April 1994 the images are still raw in my mind I was in my upper primary..and what was going on was so horrific and traumatizing...seeing bodies in the ocean 🌊😭to add salt into to the injury the Rwanda 🇷🇼 genocide was unfolding and in this too dead bodies were flowing from river kagera draining into lake Victoria😭Fateful events in our continent. Thank you Abel for telling our archived stories.

I went to coast as a kid & shortly after the Mtongwe ferry capsized. I was REALLY scared when on the ferry & seeing that disaster SCARRED me. I’ve never been to coast again & I’m *TERRIFIED* of ever doing it because of what happened to that ferry. To this day, the images of all those bodies is BURNT into my mind’s eye.
