Yes, I agree with you. Hoonie's a sensitive person and he compliments himself to actually boost his self confidence, he lowkey seems kinda insecure about himself. Just like we often cover our insecurities with humour, he's doing the same thing. It's just his coping mechanism. Some people use self depreciating humour while others cope with the help of self glorifying humour. Deep down he is very self conscious. I saw one of his en notes where he was worried about his diet and stuff. There are several videos where he seems to be concerned about his body. Once, Ig in some Enter video he said that he feels hungry in the evening but can't eat since he's on a diet. Gosh all this really worries me. I just wanna hug him and tell him he's perfect and doesn't need to change!! I hope he's taking care of himself. I want to him to eat properly. He's perfect the way he is.🐧❤

The first time I got curious was when he said something like 'I was antisocial as a child but now I'm not like that at all.' People don't usually do a 180° on their temperament. Ig most introverts work on developing confidence and managing energy in social situations in our own ways

@@roosal729 Well i am an introvert, being in social circles forces me to come out of my aloofness. There are times when my personality wavers between confidence and humbleness. I have been called both overconfident as well as humble by different people. Yes, perhaps it is society's expectations of extraversion that forces us to show these opposite traits in one person. You want to be humble, but then there are times you want to appeal yourself or make others recognise positive sides of you, then you are instead labelled overconfident.

I honestly understand Sunghoon. Maybe growing up it was hard for him to socialize knowing he had to juggle between being a student and a professional ice skater. He was always being trained to look and weigh a certain way because of ice skating, and he was trained to have this certain mindset that he shouldn't make mistakes on ice or else he'd fail. Having that mindset at a young age can sometimes stay with you till you grow older, so no wonder he compliments himself to feel good about himself, to tell himself he did great, that he worked hard and that he's handsome. Maybe that's just how our Sunghoon copes and I honestly don't blame him. It's good he knows what method he uses to cope through difficult situations, it means he's very self-aware.
