Impressive efficiency @ 2 ohms. Close to the same output as the sfb 3k @ 4 ohms but the 1.5k pulled less current. Only about 80 watts difference. 1k was very efficient @2 ohms too. Digging these tiny amps. 👏👏👏

Yeah I saw the SFB3000D isn't very efficient at 4 ohms and that sucks as I own one and I'm using it at 4 ohms. Only running 2 JL 10w6v2 subs.

Damn those SFB amps are power houses!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the lineup. Definitely interested in the 4 channels as well.

Just means you underrated your amp, it's a 2k amp being sold as a 1.5k. Awesome that you're giving the people more bang for their buck though, I support that. It's just a little easy being so conservative on your ratings and then acting all surprised when it does almost twice it's rated power.

I would love to see another SAZ-1500D type monster. You through a solid electrical system w/ 14.4v + power to it. At .5 nearly 3000w was very possible and can run them all day. Love mine on my custom x-12v2 dual 1ohm w/ red spiders in a 3 to 1 4th order. It freaken slams.

You should test the sound quality between this amp and a Korean board amp on a spectrum analyzer or RTA on a mic, use same power source and swap RCA's back and forth.. just a thought, I've always heard they sound different, I've always ran Korean amps myself but I'd run one or two of these on mids and highs (left & right)

Tbh going from my Rockford bdcp 1500 to a sfb 2000 I can’t hear too much of a difference if any in sound quality and with more power now it’s noticeably louder

Good power for the money. I'm definitely getting one. 2201 watts at 1ohm is great out of a 1500 rated power amp.

Only if you got a 15 volt system so it drops to 14.8. Most all cars and trucks run about 13.8 volts at best. Orion does almost twice the rated power at 12 volts.

I may be mistaken, but I'm assuming the majority of people who are going to buy these amps are going to want to run them at 1 ohm for that power. I said it on your last amp test video and I'll say it again. It would be really nice to see the current draw at 1 ohm. Yes clearly pretty much everyone is going to need an upgraded electrical system to run this amp, but it would be good to see just how much current these amps draw at max power.

I think it needs 2 fans one sucking air and one blowing air to get more efficient cooling across the board and I think you guys should look into maybe seeing if there is a manufacturer that would cut a hole through the board so you get a better airflow instead of just slapping it on the board cuz he would be a huge advantage to get air movement on both sides of the board that's just my thought then you guys should come out with a monoblock that is a cheap in a small as these cuz that's one of the only reasons I don't go for some of your bigger monoblocks is the price it seems like we're paying for a brand name and not sound quality anymore...... please don't turn into kicker......

That is one of my main concerns as well...subwoofer sound quality vs that of a half bridge design. And also longevity of these vs Korean board. If I wanted to get one to run some nice mids and tweets I would do it in a heartbeat...but I need clean, rich, deep bass.

I don't hear any difference from my JL 1000/1. I got the SFB 3000d to run at 4 ohms as the JL was just a large footprint. JL was ran at 4 ohms as well.

I've been trying to figure out if I wired mine properly. I have an SA Rev3 10inch dual 2 (750rms) with an SFB-1500d. I wired the speaker (+ with +) & (- with -) but my amp clips with the gain being only 1/4 up. Honestly I feel as though I should get more power, am I right anyone?

Exactly, these amps are rated too low in my opinion. It's one thing if your amps do over rated, but reaching rated power at 2 ohms is just way too conservative imho.

@@ThisGuyDrives Wasn't an accusation. But I have several Crown amps for home audio. My ComTech 1610 will do over 1600 watts into 4 ohms, or 800 watts *2 into 8 ohms. It weighs 58 pounds and has 24 TO-3 style output transistors. It will also do this 24/7 not for 5 minute bursts. I get a little curious about amps that do the same power into ridiculous car audio loads but weigh a few pounds, have no thermal mass for heat dissipation and insanely tiny output transistors. It pulled over 100 Amps at 14.4 volts. Put that power into a light bulb or a metal bar and see hot it gets.

That’s not the camera. It’s some type of file corruption that most likely occurred in his editing software or during the render process onto the KZread. Most likely during editing though.

Amps don’t come in “ohms”, the load is what you put to it with your subs. If you have two dual 2 ohm subs with the voice coils wired in a series, and then parallel the subs together that will be a 2 ohm load.

Lets go 2.1k from a 1500 my guess

I know it's not a Brazilian but it has the same application meaning enturnal parts.but y it take so much volts to get it's full potential (14.4) and Brazilian does rated at about 12.6 to 13 volts .note am not a really big fan of Brazilian but just saying.

These amps are doing a good bit OVER the rating at 14.4 or less...so what's the problem? Sounds like the same power to me, but Chinese made and not Brazilian..with Sundown levels of quality control. Brazil didnt invent the full bridge design, and Jacob isn't gonna let anything that's straight BS hit shelves with that Sundown logo on there. That would be suicide for the brand. I'm sure it took a ton of time and research and back and forth deliberating about even attempting a Sundown full bridge amp. So I would bet it's one of the best full bridge amps ever made.
