SUNDAY WITH OLA #12 - Riff Challenge

Just another mash up of riffs with a couple of leads thrown in! Not doing these to get featured since I don't have the time to make these videos at the start of the week, so Ola might not see them anyway, It's all good fun writing though! /,,/

He gave me a less punchy and intense drum track, so I did my best to compliment it! Oh, and sorry for the camera auto-focus, I'll be using Manual next time!

Ha no worries man, and thanks! I'm just grateful for the drum tracks as they're forcing my brain to be creative, which is something I've always struggled with.

haha, I doubt that, but I appreciate the compliment! :) He knows of my channel, but I've only done one other Sunday with Ola video and he apparently records them earlier in the week so he may not have seen, it or just not liked it as much as the others, everyone has different tastes after all!

loved the riff and the lead part but perhaps you should've waited one more bar for the first lead part to kick in. That middle change of rythym was freaking nice though.

Thanks! Well I did originally intend to have the backing riff play first and then come in with the lead lick, but it just didn't have the same effect to me, and felt like it would be too short, I like the whole 'punch in the face right at the start' thing too haha. I did write a different ending to the lead part the second time round, but it was actually a bit too tricky for me to learn quickly enough so I just went with repeating the same thing hahah. It's all just a bit of fun though really, nothing serious :)

@@DomicidalCovers I liked it quite a bit. The solo licks you played were cool too. I absolutely loved the solo opening lick you used on the revv entry you did. That was absolutely insane.

@@DomicidalCovers I liked it quite a bit there's cool stuff in there. The solo lick you played for the revv entry you did recently was insane though. That chord build up and then this blistering opening lick was a+ material easily.

@@Rouwiinator Thanks, the first one obviously took a LOT more thought, but the ending one was just to "fill a space" because it felt like that last beat when on for a little too long. I'm really glad you liked that other one, it's one of my band's songs and we're really proud of how it's going so far!
