This is random but I just want to say I finally tried out pipe bits after hearing you always use one and wow, I don't know why I didn't sooner. It makes clenching so much easier and more comfortable. I'm sold now lol.

Being sick is the worst. I used to go years without even a cold but since having kids it's pretty regular that I catch something. And you continue to have impeccable taste in books. I love le Carré and making my way through the Smiley books now.

I remember reading The Spy Who Came in From the Cold in high school and loving it so much. It ignited a total fascination with the Cold War and the Eastern Bloc.

I got a Lochby Venture Pouch last week. It's very nearly the perfect pipe pouch for a couple of days worth of travel. I'm the kind of guy who finds ways to improve every product I buy, and I found only two minor things the Venture Pouch that needed modifications.

The maduro designation is, again, a Cuban designation, but only tangentially. The Cuban government defines tobacco leaf into several color categories that indicates the leaf maturity. Casa: Light brown, or yellow, least mature leaf. Colorado Claro: medium brown, medium maturity. Colorado: Darker brown, medium maturity. Colorado-Amarillo: Yelllo-brown, mature leaf. Grullo: Dark brown, very mature. Oscuro: Black color, most mature leaf with fullest possible flavor. Maduro leaf is the New World name for the darker range of leaves within the Colorado color family. I began S-ing T with burning sticks and became interested in everything I could learn about the hobby. I enjoy typing your wording of this hobbyb the mention of S-ing and T is indeed fun. 👍😁

The Nicaraguan burning stick told Plum Pudding to put a ring on it? Oh oh oh. For the tickly throat cough, Old Fashioned Horehound candy is really good as a cough suppressant. 🙂

I've fallen behind again, but catching up. I've worn glasses since I was in elementary school. By junior high school, I had a pair of clip on sunglasses. Sometime after that, I had transition lenses. In high school, my parents allowed me to get contacts. But they didn't last that long because I started experiencing issues where it felt like I was getting stabbed in the eye. I literally couldn't wear them for any period of time without feeling that irritant, so I had to do away with them. From the time I was little, I always gravitated to purple frames, but the last pair I purchased is orange.

I think I got glasses when I was around 12, and contacts a couple of years later. I'm very glad that contacts have never bothered my eyes!

Bradley, when I glanced at the abbreviated burning stick you were holding in the thumbnail, my first thought was, "Is that a Cicada?" "Nicholsons" were the style of frame Jack Nicholson was wearing at the time. Michael Douglas wore the style in "Falling Down," and there are a number of pictures of Malcolm X wearing them. Great show as always!

#askstuffandthings Hey Good Friend Bradley! Loved the Weather Statement, had me cracking up. Forgive me as I remember you sort of "tip-toeing" around the tattoos on your arms years ago, but something caught my eye in a Working episode and I've been meaning to ask, does Justis have the same tattoos as you, or did my eyes deceive me? Loyal Audience, Josh.

Happy Sunday Bradley. As I s my p and watch this video my daughter brought me a can of liquid death water.. $2.50 a can of water.. While pleasant i struggle to justify this. With that said do you splurge on anything that is optional or mundane be it artisan water or other ?
