Big approval from me on the setting. Your channel is for grownups, and that's NOT boring. Same for your gaming channel. I was re-watching a few of your Bloodborne episodes after work this week, in fact.

You’re perfect the way you are, you’re not at all boring, and I love your videos. Especially the things and stuff about pipes. Your vocabulary is deliciously refreshing. I love that you’re not like all the other channels, it sets you apart in a good way.

Good afternoon Bradley. I think it’s safe to say that most of your viewership likes your content just the way it is. I am glad you don’t intend on changing your on screen personality to reach the ‘younger generation’ as the commenter suggested. I would like to add that I myself am 22 years old and have been watching your content for probably 5 years. Your honest demeanour is precisely why I prefer your videos which are a welcome reprieve from the annoying format of most of those on KZread. This is probably a good time to thankyou for making pipe smoking so accessible. I consider your videos on the topic to be the best quality on the platform by far and I’m not sure I would have been able to get into the hobby without them.

I came across this channel about 10 years ago (can that be right? time flies . . .) when I first started smoking a pipe. It felt different than other pipe channels on youtube. A big part of that was your genuineness and serious thoughtfulness in reviews. Chasing views would essentially kill what made you special. Glad you're not going to do it. Best wishes from KY.

Always be who you are, don't change even the slightest thing. Your reviews of pipe tobacco are the best reviews out there in my opinion, you are my most trusted reviewer in that area, because of how straightforward you are. Almost all other reviews beat around the bush or ramble on about something else that has nothing to do with why I'm listening or what I'm trying to learn. I do play games once in awhile and I watch reviews, when I do see someone shrieking or obviously just going for shock and awe I immediately stop playing that video and look for something else because that's not what I'm after. I watch your videos because it seems like we have a lot in common, I can't pretend at all. I would probably be the worst actor of all time because every role I would just be playing myself lol I can't pretend, I can only be who I am and It doesn't matter who likes it or not. I too get annoyed with myself if I even try to pretend to be something I'm not, so it's always very short-lived as I'm just not capable of pretending. In a world of fakes, always be genuine.

I realy like the outside filmed videos as they are more natural and authentic (and the place in this video is gorgeous !) and hope you can enjoy them aswell !

That comment is very funny in its frankness haha, although I don't agree with it; nowadays there's a big audience for longform 30 minute plus reviews diving deep into specific subjects, be it fiction or exercise science or computers or whatever, so in my opinion at least your intricate and eloquent style of presentation is probably one of your channel's main strengths. As you mentioned appreciating suggestions, I figure I'll give my thoughts on the matter. When it comes to catching an audience on KZread, in my opinion the main thing working against you is the eclectic nature of your channel: I can't help but notice that the most successful channels tend to find one thing that they do well, and then focus upon doing it and nothing else: your channel covers a lot of different subjects, besides smoking you also have videos about guitars, fashion, fiction, photography etc. etc. which you rotate through week to week. There are plenty of hugely successful channels about each of those subjects, but those channels will focus on just one of those subjects alone, and rarely deviate, or if they do, only to subjects which are still very related in spirit. Imagine for example that you pick up a viewer from the review of the custom telecaster you bought a while ago, chances are he's mostly going to be interested in watching other guitar videos, so if he checks your channel and finds that you mostly don't talk about guitars you'll lose him, or even if he subscribes, you'll lose him if you cover other things for a few weeks; compare that to the same person clicking on a guitar review, and then findings a channel with twenty other guitar reviews similar to the one he just watched, and pedal reviews, technique tips etc. etc. Sometimes you'll catch someone who enjoys learning about new interests, or that happens to like other things that you cover (I'm one of them lol), but given the way KZread is structured and consumed, channels that specialise will gather and maintain larger audiences imo. To be clear I'm not suggesting you make any changes, I very much enjoy your channel as is, but I thought the message you got raised an interesting question so I thought I'd give my two cents as someone who has wasted enough time on this website to have an opinion about this stuff.

Thanks for the comment! And you are quite right. I've talked about this very thing on several occasions. When I give people advice on starting a KZread channel, I tell them to focus on one thing and one thing only, but I've never taken that advice myself. Haha! Thanks for watching!

Hello Bradley, I'm a new viewer on your channel and I have been watching a lot of your older videos. I watched a lot of your Sunday STUFFandTHINGS series in hopes to find the answer to a question in mind which I still have yet to obtain. My question is - Do you smoke your pipes with a filter? Many pipe smokers experience tongue bite no matter what they do, and other superhuman smokers can allow themselves to puff on forever until the bow eventually sets on fire.. Thank you for the good content, i feel more and more educated and confident to begin my pipe smoking hobby

Seeing as we seem to be witnessing the complete devolution of the human race around us and on our devices, I'd not lose too much sleep over the tag "boring". I've recently started watching more and more of your videos recently, would say you are much more 'niche' than boring, and your general commentary and reviews are highly engaging. Let the 'boring' brigade stick to the fake shit, you keep it real for the semi-intelligents out there. Word.

I still do tobacco reviews exactly like I used to. In my reviews (since they're not monetized), I DO still use whole words. The only thing that has changed is I don't show the actual lighting of the pipe. I still smoke it on camera just as much as I always have. People need to relax with the "You changed!" narrative.

@@stuffandthingsyoutube I’m sorry if it sounds accusatory; not my intention. I’m just throwing some ideas out for you. I think a lot of people generally like the way you did your old tobacco reviews the best but then everyone loved Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle felt it was beneath him, lol. What’s the greater good? 🤷‍♂️
