I never get tired of watching ELR. The people on there and the storylines are so true to life. I don't think there will be another show like it. Frank & Marie were 2 of the best!!

Love ELR and Men Of A Certain Age. But seeing Ray return to the microphone for stand up is awesome. His material is flawless. And I’m a neurotic nerd like Ray. My wife says no which keeps me sane especially when my mother when she complains about money. Seeing stand ups like Ray gives me hope.

Ray Romano has always been the real deal. And with obvious hard work he became an outstanding actor in addition to being a comedic genius. As much as I enjoy-and still enjoy-‘Everybody Loves Raymond,’ I was just as pleased with ‘Men of a Certain Age,’ which the network canceled to my horror. Such a superb show, with Romano, Bakula, and Brauer. But Ray has forged onward brilliantly with striking parts and roles (Get Shorty, Parenthood, etc.) Typically, I am inclined to think that most contemporary “celebrities”-and producers-do not really deserve their gazillions for putting-out endless mediocrities and flat-out garbage. But Ray Romano is another case: if I saw the guy on the street I’d give him the cash in my wallet for making me laugh and think for over twenty years. Well, I’d at least buy him a beer. 😄 And I have no doubt that things are difficult for his lovely wife, Anna, in certain respects. She married him when he was an unknown, everyday local guy and her existence was turned upside-down, inside-out, and put through the wringer. That’s got to be challenging for a couple, but I truly hope they make it and I count myself among the many millions who appreciate this man’s talents and his humility.

I get it. I felt that way for years about him too. He just seemed to lean into the neurotic New Yorker shtick too heavily sometimes. I've softened about him in recent years, not really sure why. I guess he just seems to be playing himself, even if it's a bit much sometimes.
