    The next parliament must initiate process to kick the BATUK camp out of Kenya... IMO, Kenya should only allow them tourist Visa. Come enjoy the wildlife, coast...then go back home. It's a shame that with all the social, economic, political, cultural, religious damage the British did to Kenya that still shackle us to date, we still act like they are Kenya's BFF!

At one point we need to start thinking about getting comparable training to our colonial masters than relying on them for it. That's the essence of independence and mutual interdependence...     @@simonmwangi1057 If only they knew how much they supportNanyuki's economy, they account for over 40% of employement in this town including permanent and semicasual labors. Cedar mall is their haven but also do mama mbogas and other small scale traders benefit from their presence. Wherever there are benefits disadvantages are also bound to occue. It is a matter of doing a cost benefit analysis... BATUK is critical to Nanyuki's and Laikipia's economy in general

    I really look forward to a day when Kenya will send them back and Exit the commonwealth. By them having their base here it helps them push their personal agenda, i really would wish for those bases to be occupied purely by KDF, we must cut all ties to colonial powers, Kenya must become fully indipedent away from any external influence. And Kenyans must shed off the view of being inferior to A mzungu, we are all the same!...that way we will really get to know our potential!...Cut the ties i say!...and leave the Damn commonwealth!!....

    I usually ask myself why their is no any African military Base in Europe , America and Asia? while here In Africa we have thousands of foreign military bases, are we weak? or we can`t protect our boundaries?

    This proves we were just played by the govt during independence. If kenya really wanted to make a military group from 1963 that would match the britons the govt at the time would have started with MAU MAU soldiers that engaged the britons actively on combat grounds.
