It astonishes me how Henry’s plays never come off. He is always in space with the ball or destroying a defense, and the goal never materializes.

Offside decision at the end was spot on. Not offside if just a deflection or from a deliberate save.

As a trainee referee I can tell you Smiv that was a correct offside decision at the end, if the ball deflects off of an opponent, goalpost, Corner flag, crossbar or match official the player is still offside.

Squad this year looks class. If Blossy can stay involved, there's big things ahead. Team as it is is good enough to go a long way but I think Blossy is class.

Depends but in this case it would be. If a defender intercepts the ball, dribbles around for about ten seconds then loses it to an offside man, then it wouldn't be. But here I think that's the right decision.

If the defender made a succesful deliberate attempt to play the ball it is not offside which you could argue is the case here

@@timfeyenoord1 You could, but the LOTG also mention that offside can be given if a ball comes off an opponent. I'd say that a panicked header isn't the same as a calm and deliberate attempt to play the ball.

Gifted Satsuma if a player has gone to intercept the ball and diverted its direction no matter how slightly then it’s no longer offside, that’s the rules there’s no beating around the bush on that

Referee got the decision at 3:46 right IMO, very lucky to not get a card there tbh, yes he gets the ball but he doesn't get enough of it, you can see he comes lunging in and doesn't really make the tackle cleanly, he sort of slides past the ball glancing it slightly.
