    Glad this video was made. Suncast should reference this youtube in its instructions. After multiple attempts of switching bolts for the hinges it was obvious the instructions were written by someone in marketing!

    I just wanna thank you for putting on this video cause you’re right the instructions stink. Then it turns out they didn’t put the right screws in so I had to go to the hardware store and get additional screws. Why those people must be idiots at Suncast.

    Spot on I agree to the instructions are probably converted from some other language to English and they’re not engineers so they got it backwards. It was confusing I knew there would be somebody who would put one of these together, so I really appreciate you and I like the comments Keep it up and the music that you have in the background I download it it’s great so I gave you 150%. I can’t stand the way I just look at it and then I put it together because usually when you read the instructions you can’t read them or their back ass word as you know.

    Did anyone have trouble installing the s-bar in the lid? Only the two holes at either end lined up with any type of plastic to screw into. The other six holes did not line up with the plastic ridges, so I was screwing through the metal into thin air. Any suggestions?

    Hey, I followed everything you did, but it's not airtight, the lid kind of bows up at the back, and the holes at the front for the lock do not align. Did this happen to you at all?

    Yeah I put the shed one together and it was a nightmare when I got to top. No holes for screws, and the screws didn't hold in certain areas. I guess that's why there's so many holes in the metal bracket to reinforce it , lol.

    Being careful with the weight, do you think this deck box could take four swiveling caster wheels at the corners? I want to be able to move it around a garage. Perhaps adding a wood frame to the base might be the way to go. Thanks for the video.

  • @FamilyDIYtv

    @FamilyDIYtv

    Should work ! I’d maybe scab 3/4 plywood on the bottom and attach caster through that and plastic bottom. Maybe even use some adhesive between plastic bottom and plywood.

    The only rationale I can think of for a part with too many holes is that it's mass produced for more than one model and might enable different set ups on different models? It's a stretch, though.

  • @FamilyDIYtv

    I agree with you 100%. I was also thinking to save weight for shipping - maybe ? But by the time you make the holes, does that offset the cost of shipping ??? Lol who knows ! Hahhahaha. Thanks for the comment! Mike
