Glad this video was made. Suncast should reference this youtube in its instructions. After multiple attempts of switching bolts for the hinges it was obvious the instructions were written by someone in marketing!
Great video. My husband and I started to put it together, but we never would have finished without you video, thank you!
Thank you. I just finished completely assembling my deck box after a year, with your help. It had been sitting in the yard without the lid actually attached. Thanks

The most satisfying thing about this video was how frustrated you also were with the instructions. Glad I am not alone! Thank you

You're welcome!
I just wanna thank you for putting on this video cause you’re right the instructions stink. Then it turns out they didn’t put the right screws in so I had to go to the hardware store and get additional screws. Why those people must be idiots at Suncast.
OMG THANKS GUYS,❤ I FINISHED a beer of 6 cans
Thanks great video !!!!
Thank you 😅😅😅😅

Mine included a price of paper that said instructions… hahah. They didn’t seem to be instructions tho - ha Mike
I watched, I learned and I finished.... up to the part at the end where one of the $%^$%$#$ tabs on the side wasn't in the slot in the base. I watched, I learned and I also finished using a rubber mallet to set the %W#$#$W# tab into the base. Thank you for the video! Great humor and informative!

Thank you, the black-and-white instruction booklet was tough to follow. I put your video at 50% speed and it was perfect to follow along, much appreciated for taking the time to make it.
Very helpful thanks for sharing

Thanks so helpful.
Spot on I agree to the instructions are probably converted from some other language to English and they’re not engineers so they got it backwards. It was confusing I knew there would be somebody who would put one of these together, so I really appreciate you and I like the comments Keep it up and the music that you have in the background I download it it’s great so I gave you 150%. I can’t stand the way I just look at it and then I put it together because usually when you read the instructions you can’t read them or their back ass word as you know.
Great video! Much better than the manual

nice video. do you now if the box can be disassembled and reassembled? we move a lot.
Any recommendations on how to tighten the spring loaded door lifts? The deck box lid doesn't stay open on its own, which is super frustrating!

Sounds like you have a bad damper, I would call them and ask for replacement.
Did anyone have trouble installing the s-bar in the lid? Only the two holes at either end lined up with any type of plastic to screw into. The other six holes did not line up with the plastic ridges, so I was screwing through the metal into thin air. Any suggestions?
Thanks

No problem !
Thank you for doing this! The included instructions are unclear.
Hey, I followed everything you did, but it's not airtight, the lid kind of bows up at the back, and the holes at the front for the lock do not align. Did this happen to you at all?
@FamilyDIYtv
Жыл бұрын
Sounds like the dampener(shock) is in the wrong hole. I did this at first. Double check the shock.
Yeah I put the shed one together and it was a nightmare when I got to top. No holes for screws, and the screws didn't hold in certain areas. I guess that's why there's so many holes in the metal bracket to reinforce it , lol.

Being careful with the weight, do you think this deck box could take four swiveling caster wheels at the corners? I want to be able to move it around a garage. Perhaps adding a wood frame to the base might be the way to go. Thanks for the video.
@FamilyDIYtv
Жыл бұрын
Should work ! I’d maybe scab 3/4 plywood on the bottom and attach caster through that and plastic bottom. Maybe even use some adhesive between plastic bottom and plywood.
Your instructions were very helpful. This product was made in the USA. The person who put the instruction booklet together needs to be fired.

Yes, so close but so far !
Fricken hinge pins were the death of me
The only rationale I can think of for a part with too many holes is that it's mass produced for more than one model and might enable different set ups on different models? It's a stretch, though.
@FamilyDIYtv

I agree with you 100%. I was also thinking to save weight for shipping - maybe ? But by the time you make the holes, does that offset the cost of shipping ??? Lol who knows ! Hahhahaha. Thanks for the comment! Mike

Its so the parts can go on either side right or left. They mirror the holes!
