Just a small correction : she said that before Israel started the ground offensive. But they immediately started to bombing, so the march and calls for ceasefire were very much of the respond to that. Plus people whose following the events know well that Hamas attack wasn't unprovoked. It was a desperate act after decades of occupation and ethnic cleansing by Israel. Religious Jews are against by the Israeli government apartheid style aggression and around the world they protest for the Palestinian people!

Not one of the so called peace protesters said a word about peace or a ceasefire until Israel responded. On October 8th there was no demonstration against violence. But there were celebrations for the Hamas attack and demonstrations against Israel. You say you demonstrated in expectation of Israel's response? Why didn't you demonstrate against the Hamas attacks and freedom for hostages at the same time?

Yep, Owen simply listing things that Braverman has actually said, Epstein starts huffing and rolling her eyes. Her response? A disembodied rant about Hamas. What does that have to do with Sue Ellen being sacked? Then she waffles on about placards on the march which Owen rightful points out are 10 identified examples out of 100s of thousands. It's a fraction, of a fraction of 1%. Owen again lists facts, Epstein's response is another disembodied remark that he should get his facts right, whilst also saying that Braverman's remarks did nothing to incite the violence on Saturday. The woman is deranged, deluded and damaged! I shall have to satisfy my curiosity by watching the entire segment on demand, to see if (having demanded Owen condemn things) Epstein at any point condemns the violence of the far right on Saturday without any reservation.

Have a “balanced” argument on whether it’s right for a Home Secretary to be dismissed for publicly accusing the forces of bias and lumping hundreds of thousands of people who crave peace (the massive majority of the whole) as hate mongers. The police she is supposed to work with on our behalf were endangered from her unauthorised interference, and the peaceful public were put in danger too. Should someone with ultimate power act like we’re in an authoritarian state ? And then keep her role to do more ? We are in absolute madness territory here and it’s dangerous. Didn’t Vine have a “balanced” debate about whether desperate homeless people should be able to use tents ? Well, on the one hand they’re desperate people with all sorts of issues and are just trying to find shelter in the safest place they can … or … on the other hand sod ‘em and fine generous people who try and help ? Utterly ridiculous. Just taking any right wing bile and sit on the fence with it pretending it’s equal on each side. By all means debate, but set the questions up better than this

It did not start on 7th October. It's been going on for 60 years!!!! Where is the media when it comes to Jews protesting in Tel Aviv in favour of Palestine. The Safadi Jews in London who protested against fascist policies of israeli Government. The high numbers of Jews protesting with Pro palestine march on Saturday. Where is the coverage of that.

Owen Jones speaks truth to power- yesterday on GMB and Jeremy Vine. He is one of the few journalists brave enough to tell it as it is despite the right wing narrative and every effort to dismiss his well argued points and close him down. He was not given enough opportunity to respond. The show needs a new presenter- Alexis Conran, for example.

Most of us want peace in the Middle East. Calling a march a 'mob', referring to them as a 'hate' group when the vast majority are asking for peace is dishonest. It's designed to provoke controversy, and even more shocking when this is really about someone wanting the PM's job. The appalling suggestion that charities could be stopped from giving tents to people who inevitably become homeless because of the political choice not to build houses is just awful. She knows that this would kill, and yet her greed for power seems to matter more to her than other people's right to live.

Can we remember what she said about the homeless as well! And those vets at the cenotaph who had their day messed up by right wing thugs!

@@mattarnold8291 I watch the programme most days and it is clear to me it really needs a shake up in terms of impartiality to ensure all discussions are balanced with equal time for contributors. I am on the left and do not like a lot of what right wing commentators say but as long as it is within the bounds of reasonable conversation in the context of the debate and OFCOM rules ( its effectiveness is a whole different issue), they have a right to express their views. It works both ways. Storm Huntley is not up to chairing discussions effectively, either. I was astonished to hear her say a couple of weeks ago that she did not know that nevertheless is one word- she though it was three!

Ultimately, Suella Braverman had three roles, as a Briton, as a constituency MP and as a Cabinet Member/ Home Secretary. Even if her husband is Jewish, she must represent more than that narrow group.
