Sunak focusing on tax cuts instead of attempting to deal with the Cost of Living Crisis and Improving our crumbling services was his biggest mistake since taking office. Then again why would he care as Sunaks wealth has increased by a million quid a month...during his time as PM.

I'm getting sick of Rishi lying about pension taxation. Anyone who receives an occupational or private pension is already paying tax on amounts over the personal allowance at the standard rate and after Rishi's quadruple lock, they still will be. All he has promised to do is to protect the state pension from taxation as a result of Hunt freezing personal allowance and the fact that the triple lock will increase the State pension above the personal allowance. It has nothing to do with anything Labour said it would do, the only basis for his attack is the assumption that Labour will do nothing to prevent that happening. Interestingly, Rishi is so panicked that he is making claims about Labour's policy on Ukraine when his own Foreign Secretary said Labour has the same position as the Tories. He really hasn't taken on that tax cuts are not what the majority is looking for, you would have thought that after 2 cuts to National Insurance which had absolutely no effect on the Party's popularity, he would have realised that. And he could not change course when it was clear it was not having the effect he thought it would like the Rwanda debacle which was never anything more than an attempt to look at least something was being done and his announcement of the scrapping of of the second stage of HS2 in the town that was going to be must impacted by its loss is political stup[idity rarely duplicated in modern times

The ability of a government to do pretty much what it wants makes no difference if it has a majority of 80 (as the Tories had in 2019) and 250 as some polls suggest Labour will get in a couple of days. However, destroying the current Tory party will allow for a new - non corrupt - party of the conservative right to emerge. In the end that would be good for the people of the UK.

It's desperate stuff and I'd argue dangerous to make these statements. This Labour aren't some extreme revolutionary party with plans to upend the country. Trying to drum up fear about "unchecked" majority is outrageous. Since there is functionally no difference to their recent 80 seat majority it needs to be called out explicitly. Playing to voter ignorance is a poor poor look and just shows contempt for the electorate.
