Led by composer/bassist Cody McCorry, the ensemble We Used to Cut The Grass recorded their first Sun Lab Session on the hottest day in July of 2015 at the historic Camp Evans Military Base in Wall, New Jersey.
Starting with J.S. Bach’s classic BWV 244, McCorry leads the group through his original composition, featuring solos by some of the most innovative musicians on the scene today.
“Woodpecker” is the featured track from their new EP, coming soon to iTunes and all major music outlets.
This session was recorded entirely with solar energy. Check out more of our videos by subscribing to our page!

It's awesome how everything's solar powered! Lovely composition, and Dwight B. Vulture made a wonderful addition to the band.

the space sounds with the brass instruments at the end of the piece was one of the coolest parts of this composition, my favorite part had to be the guy in the mask playing with the extinguisher, party on dudes!

This composition was amazing!! It showed true artistic abilities from the bands musical abilities and the concept of the whole video was very captivating to watch. Great video quality and very clear concise idea of what this band is all about!

There goes Tony on the vibes again. Hope the success of this cool video doesn't boost his ego too much. +3 points.

This was awesome. I really like the random parts of the video, such as the guy in the gas mask hugging the fire extinguisher and Cody pouring coffee on himself Lol. It added entertainment and humor to this great musical piece. Great video guys

Great song! It reminds me of Stan Kenton's Improvisation piece. You guys remind me of of the old school jazz big bands. Looking forward to seeing more visuals for your songs.

Very well thought out. it was innovative, and unlike any music video I had seen in a long time. I liked how it was eerily relevant to the story-line, and it kept me engaged. Good job AJ +3
