Looking amazing, I can't wait to do my first ever overseed of perennial ryegrass this year on my new Tahoma31 bermuda lawn. Have never grown ryegrass before as I live in a warm season climate. Excited for the super dark goodness in winter here in Australia.

Damn my dude, I just overseeded with the Scott's, baby grass is popping up nicely. Did a summer overseed (basically a full reno) just to see if it could be done here in WA (short answer, YES). I want to go with the TCS Fireball and Hattrick mix next time! Maybe some day level up to powered reel mowing 😉😎. Love your channel!!!

Brah! I know I would “want” the cartridge, but I agree, with the small lawn sizes, the SJ is perfect for the application. ESPECIALLY trying to get in and out of the backyard. The Back-Back, maybe in 2-3 seasons you could run the swardman back there, but “Beast” needs to eat too 👍🏻🤙🏻🥹

I'm glad you had a better experience with this dethatcher model than I did. For me, this thing kept overheating and stalling every few seconds. SunJoe even sent me a replacement unit and I continued to have the same problem so I finally just got a refund. Maybe it was a problem with my batteries or maybe a problem with the sod that my lawn is made of.

Yeah I mean I havnt tested the full test front back and back back but so far so good, I know it does stop when too much thatch builds up but I’m gonna open the back to let thatch exit might help with the stalling 😊🙏🏾🔥🤙🏾

bought this on amazon as well, it did stall while cutting through my thick bermuda but I just went from the highest setting did a pass then kept lowering it until I hit the middle one. Grass is growing in nicely now, much better thinning it out.

Yes smart! I always used to go the middle setting but sometimes that’s too much almost tilling the lawn 😂 I find that 2nd for the highest is almost perfect for any hoc 😊🤙🏾👊🏾🙏🏾🔥

That sunjoe looks like it worked phenomenal! I know you were concerned with the power of a cordless dethatcher, but it looks like it did good. Once I get one, it will absolutely have to be cordless... I can't do extension cords. All my tools are cordless and I'm spoiled 😆🤙

Welcome back brah! I always dethatch with the corded version at the end of the summer but it's a pita with the cord. It will stress the hell out of your lawn (my wife always says you killed the lawn), but it bounces back stronger after 3-4 weeks. It'll freak you out the first time you do it though because the lawn will look like garbage for a while.

Yo Brah, do you find the ego trimmers pulling you when you get too deep into the yard? Idk if it’s my string for my EGO but I constantly get pulled into the yard, and it messes up my crisp lines.

@@13rianR You know I've noticed if I'm on full blast it will pull me all day long but if i'm just slowly pulling the trigger it's not as bad... also when I use ego brand string it doesn't pull me but when I used echo it grabs like hell.. maybe it's just me or it's in my head 😂🤙🏾

Totally! Or both? The more blades the better! If you go push try out the earthwise 7 blade I heard it’s good! Sunjoe is sold out unless you can get your hands on one… I know there is a Scott’s one as well that might be ok. You could also always try the vintage Cali trimmer or Mclane route… little more work to get it nice but it’s a fun project! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥

I mean if your lawn starts looking too thin then you went overboard 😂 if you have a ton of moss yes go for it! And as you start to see your grass get thicker and crowded hit it up a bit… I’m probably gonna be on the once a month verticut train this season 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾

It shuts off if there’s too much thatch build up if you open the back it should be a lot better! If they doesn’t work then you def have a defective unit! Good luck! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥

I looked up trying to send some products to a buddy in UK and Canada is the same the safety sheet for these products classify as dangerous goods unfortunately or I would be sending all day to you guys… you’re gonna have to be your own PGR and just cut everyday like I do 😂

Hey what’s up! So generally you shouldn’t overseed until 30 days after that app…. If you water a lot it might speed up the process.. season 1 off camera before KZread dad put out a weed and feed two weeks before and he didn’t tell me.. seed didn’t germinate, this is when I learned the process… 1 month after the weed and feed I overseeded again and boom germination 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
