@@PineappleDealer37 Ehh only worth early game and not enought speed, for me its just a waste of insight. Acuatually can you change your skill tree mid playthought? Like before celestial orb (im pretty sure you can change the skill tree by changing character with celestial portal) If you could change the skill tree within 20 days its maybe worth, but you can also ruins rush for the club for the 10% speed and posibily a lazy explorer

@@leoelfo304 the portal conversion kit is in the basic celestial orb, which can fall as early as day 1 if you're really lucky, from then you need 2 purple gems and 40-odd moon rocks and you're good

Watering can cancels the item burning, but keeps the effect for infinite uses

I didn't think you could plant trees in his area. That's something to remember if they don't disable the ability

If they ever fix this you can telelocate them, deaggro them and let fw hit them with his aoe 🥸 fairly harder but not impossible

The Woodie Skill-tree is by far the best one to me, fighting with moose form is so great now, and klei giving us the ability to summon Treeguards is amazing.

God that thumbnail is perfection

As of making this comment, I should’ve thought of this as a Woodie main, it I ain’t plant no trees cause I assumed that the ruins turf, being not dirt, wouldn’t let me do that. I found this video after failing MASSIVELY against him with a buddy, as we got FW down to 743 health, but our items all broke, he did the invincibility move, healed back to 8K health, and that was it for the day, so this knowledge from one Lumberjack shall prove useful to me in my quest

I cant believe they made woodie the best army character in the game. And made wormwood a hoard character at all.

You heard of boss fights with pigs You heard of boss fights with rabbits You've even heard of boss fights with bees and spiders Now you can viably have boss fights with treeguards and its glorious

Can you use less than 20 tree guards? Like would 10 or 14 work? Also what is a good way to farm nightmare fuel for the idols? I only came up with killing all nightmares in the sacred ruins biome during the nightmare phase and using the dreadstone helmet to keep yourself insane

There are several ways. But I'm assuming you are farming nightmare as Woodie strictly. Woodie generally don't have super efficient way of farming nightmare fuel. You can try mass murdering shadow monkeys as moose. Or farm nfuel as other characters, such as Maxwell.

Would teleporting out be viable to avoid the invincible phase?

it's not considered cheese when is the power of the character. Is the same as using Winona catapults or Wickerbottom tentacles to kill bosses. Cheese is only when you do something that nulifies some mechanic of the boss. Cheese is leaving the arena while traping FW, so he will endless try to deactivate the atrium gate and won't do anything besides this. Or using walls against Dragonfly, skipping the lavae phase.

So now everybody thinks they can just command great beasts these days, huh?

If the tree guards kill him does it count for the skill tree

i mean, the problem is that he is a "TOGETHER" boss if you are playing with multiple people you dont need that much equipment, and its easy to take care of everything if you are say 3/4 people but when you play solo you essentially have to cheese him or bring a shit ton of stuff since he was never meant to be played solo

@@agustinsmania5270 i don't have a lot of experience in dst tbh I do have quite a lot in DS solo and while I think I could survive in together, I have quite limited understanding of how to summon a lot of the bosses from the game due to unexplained game progression.

@@PineappleDealer37 just check the wiki really dst as a whole is not that much harder than solo, but there are so many things that you just wont get unless you check wikis of tutorials. as much as the community hates him id recommend beard777, he makes decent enough dst guides

Not trees, but pine cones, then geometric placement. I supposed pine cones aren't so important.

I really like woodies new stuff but personally I hate the tree guard idol thing. way too cheap for what it is, absolutely needs nerfing
