Hi! If taking short, can you please explain how you do an animation cancelling? I know the technic of that, but anyway, it's doesn't work so correctly in my worlds. Are you using "Don't Starve Alone" mod for make it work maybe? And by the way, are you playing with lag compensation, or is it better to make it off?

There are several techniques for this, I believe you know the most standard one which is the one in the video, using Don't Starve Alone will allow you to do this much easier, as it will eliminate the lag that the caves cause in the game, My lag compensation is disabled, however there are some types of cancellation that you can do only with it enabled, but I believe that is not what you are after. I always recommend using Don't Starve Alone, because by removing the lag, you won't have any problems canceling it, just practice until you get the right time to cancel the animation, but it's also possible to do it without Don't Starve Alone, but The time to exchange items may vary depending on your connection to the server

@@ameslariiwish i could use dont starve alone, the mod makes the game crash 50% of the time when i enter/exit the caves for whatever reason

it looks so incredibly easy watching this, but Ive tried it for hours yesterday and kept failing. He always cages me, I dont understand how you avoid it so well. He always gets to eat at least one shadow when I try to lure him away. I was really frustrated after trying for hours and wanted to give up, but watching this makes me wanna try again

Would it be possible to get enough bloom to kite a level 3 rook in the first 3 or so days? Like if you got the spoiled fish crockpot set piece and rushed some compost wraps? I don't know how fast wormwood gains bloom or if certain items change that

Unfortunately not, because to avoid the hook you need to have 55% buff speed, bloom will give you 20% + the road 30%, but yes you can bloom on day 2 easily. However, you can kill the shadow pieces with it in the first few days, using the boat method

The thing is, you will not be able to reliably assemble the shadow pieces before day 21 unless you can tame a beefalo or use other players to help out. I suppose if you're just asking whether or not 55% speed boost is possible, then the answer is maybe. You could definitely start bloom day 1, then run to ruins scienceless for yellow amulet and possibly a lazy explorer. I don't really know what it is you're looking for exactly, but I wouldn't think a Wormwood autumn Ancient Fuelweaver is possible to do consistently the way Wolfgang and perhaps Walter can do it.

To add to this, it's like, even if you did the strategy where you assemble only one shadow piece then found the rest in the meanwhile, you would still need an additional external speed boost (Woodie's walking stick, walking cane boon, yellow amulet, or lazy explorer staff from AG). The road and level three bloom are simply not enough--that is if we're talking about 55% speed boost. There is a strategy involving level three bishop however, where you can evade the majority of its attack by hopping to a boat each time during phase 3. It refuses to travel over water if it teleports to you while you're on land, so hopping to the boat let's you take one part of its attack, and none of the other 9 hits or whatever. Just wanna point out you need to assemble one of the pieces Day 1, then begin domesticating a beefalo, then move all the other pieces during the following days, all while collecting armor materials and having no way to reliably heal very much. Plus, if a pig or aggressive mob targets your level one shadow piece of choice, you could get it easily killed while finding the rest of the pieces. You also can't go to caves the entire time once you've gotten to Day 1 night.

How were you avoiding the bone snare? At first i thought you were going near the edge to but i think i saw you be completely unaffected by it in the open near the end

Well firstly you have to know the variations of Fw's attacks, or better said your order of attack depending on your condition, I recommend you watch the Carrion/Porkus video to understand better and then you can come to one of my Fw videos to follow the route I take so you can start practicing, because with a route it will be easier to know what you are doing, I also recommend you place reference points in the Fw arena so you know where you need to be when avoiding the cages

there are several ways, but the best way is to understand the Fw pattern, it has several variations and this is the problem, I recommend watching Porkus' video on this subject, he explained well how it works, after that I recommend getting one of mine fights and use it as a route reference, to learn how to avoid something and then do it on your own.

tbh the consistency of this method depends more on each player, because when you train this fight a lot your muscle memory will practically know when to dodge, but the more speed buff, the easier it becomes to do, as you will be able to leave the cage area more quickly, being able to risk more in the fight, and it's not a trick, it's basically knowing how Fw's attacks work, ''Porkus'' has a video about it if you want to understand better

In phase 2, you can count 2 skull attacks, then dodge. In phase 1, at start it’s skull attack -> spiral attack -> 2 skulls attack -> cage. Then FW will cast cage after 6 spiral attacks.

You may have trouble with dodging cage, but that’s ok, you’re really need a lot of practice. You should be in radius of 3 tiles, so FW can cast cage. ATM when he hits ground with his arm, you need to be 4 tiles away. If FW want to cast the cage, but you’re more than 3 tiles away, it’s going to a 3 seconds cool-down.

Does anyone enjoy playing with you? Seriously tho. Do you even enjoy playing yourself?? I wonder this exact thought very often. You animation canceling, your perfect movement . Do you get bored and play like that? Or are you sweating even when breaking rocks? Its an actual quesrion of curiosity. I cant understand if you like playing or if you do it for the channel

I liked to play, but currently I just continue for the channel, so I don't do long gameplays anymore, as I get tired very quickly, sometimes I have fun doing fights. I was never one to spend a lot of time on a game, I always played as long as I needed to reach the world level, as I was top 1 in metal gear survive, top 3 in metal gear the phatom pain, top 1 Edel in Grand Chase, up to and in games on roblox, minecraft servers lmao, and on Don' t Starve achieved this a while ago in relation to speedrun, having achievements that only I have, of course over time this will be achieved even if it takes a long or short time, but life goes on and fighting to maintain this I consider a waste of time, other people may think not, but that's my point of view, but it's been a few months since I achieved these feats on Don't Starve and theoretically I should have switched games, but I like the channel, so I continue for it and for yours who watch me

@@ameslarii Honestly you are an extraordinary player. I love watching you, and if you ever stop ill understand. I just find myself in a void when i spend too much time in non competitive games. Playing black ops zombies and reaching round 70 after 3 hours to feel empty inside for the time i spent. Sometimes it is a pointless achievement too. Not yours tho, what you do very few people can do... i still try to rush ruins and queen bee with wormwood and i find it impossible although i play dont starve more than 7 years😅. But yes you make me wonder very often, how come such a hard player spends his time in dont starve when he could be in a league of legends stream making money. Cause... you are very good and skillfull, and you seem extremely competitive. But i guess you dont enjoy such games like league of legends
