Kind of a dick move to recklessly swing that ice axe so close to the sign. I knew that you were going to eventually hit it before it even happened. That sign was erected there with great difficulty. The paint is removed from that spot and rust will eventually eat away at the surface. Nice job!!!

It takes about a week to do the roundtrip. Challenges include snow, rain, and mud. ;)

I'm finally back in the United States! I'm Kenya was the toughest Mountain I climbed in Africa! In fact, it might be the toughest Mountain I've ever climbed. I hope you're doing well and that you're still climbing! Go see the movie free solo.

Well it's great you got it done anyway. I'm still climbing, in fact literally a week after you got off the mountain, I went back up with two other guys. There are plenty of plans for the future with African mountaineering. I was wondering actually, where can I see free solo on the internet? is it available online? Also, do you have any more big mountains you want to climb?

Yes and if you go to Lesotho,South Africa (mountains and some towns)and parts of North Africa it snows in the winter.It is NORMAL🙄

From a geographic standpoint is rare to have snow near the equator, as you said North Africa and Southern Africa has snow on mountain peaks, the Northern and Southern points of Africa are much cooler than near the equator. So therefore you would have to have higher mountain peaks and to climb much higher to find snow. Such as the 5000m Mountain in the video or Mt.Kilimanjaro and Mt.Kenya, whereas mountains in North Africa, Tunisia for example have snow on mountains from altitudes of 1000m to 1500m. So therefore the person in the video would be confused why there is snow on mountain near the equator.
