Summer Solstice - hiking 107km alone in the Ardennes
I spent 4 of the longest days of the year hiking in the Ardennes forests, and had the most wonderful time. I started in Érezée, continued to La Roche, walked along the Ourthe in the direction of Houffalize up to Achouffe, headed up the fens of Baraque de Fraiture, then towards Lierneux, and back to Érezée.

Prachtige video, is eens wat anders als de typische vlogger type video waarin de video begint met "Hey guys, today we're going to hike to ..." en waarin de hele video wordt volgepraat waardoor de trektocht zijn charme verliest. :)
Mooie video en route. Een inspiratie om ook weer eens een meerdaagse tocht te gaan lopen.

Ik begrijp je 100%, soms is het nodig even terug te trekken van de drukte... Zalig rustgevende video. Vraagje : drink je het gefilterd water in de ardennen ? Ik twijfel om er 1 aan te schaffen...

Do you see a lot of mushrooms there? Can you eat them? All those kilometers on a pot noodle! What flavour was it ? I think you need more calories and maybe some caffeine.
Did you find enough possibilities to fill up water on day 3 and 4 since those are the parts away from rivers!

Sure, even if you can't find any rivers, you'll pass plenty of villages where you can just ask a local to fill your bottles. ;)
You wear shorts in the forest and field? You don't worry about bugs biting you? Anyway, you made a lovely video.

dominiek peersman Nog nooit problemen mee gehad. Zolang je je aan een paar regels houdt hoef je je weinig zorgen te maken.

I enjoy your videos: they are outstanding. It takes a lot of work and patience to film yourself while hiking solo. Thanks for making the effort. I am an old man, and therefore envy your youthful legs.
Wild camping cost about 150€ in belgium... well done

@@lars0584 I think he means if you get caught. Personally I always camp in the wild, I like the peace and quiet and if you go far enough off the beaten path and don't make a fire, the chances of being caught are very small. Always clean up after leaving.

@@lars0584 wild camping is not allowed in Belgium. Exempt along some hike where arena are especially created.

There aren’t that many bivouac zones where overnight camping is allowed and those are usually noisy and full. The odds of getting caught while wild camping are so incredibly small. Leave no trace, do your research, no fire and you’ll be fine.

Love the video but again finding the music very depressing... It would be better slightly happier peaceful music
