Really enjoyed that. I love catching tench on the float and given they often patrol the margins it’s an ideal method overlooked by most big fish anglers. It seems Essex is fast becoming a carp only county so it’s nice to know a few mixed fisheries still exist.and It would be interesting to know what sort of size the other species i.e. tench, roach and bream in Chigborough go to. Incidentally what chair are you using; the upright style looks perfect for float fishing. All the best

Many thanks! I agree, hard to beat a bit of float fishing... I'm not sure about sizes of other species in Chigboro, most people there seem to be after the carp, but we were lucky enough to land some quality fish and there's probably bigger ones around. As for the chair, I think i paid ten quid for it in a high street store! A bit 'snug' but very light and comfy... cheers and thanks for watching

Hi Andy, what’s your favourite tench water in Essex? All things considered including things like secure venue, no litter etc. obviously the fishing has to be good but I’d sooner sit in nice surroundings and have a few fish out, rather than tons of fish but sitting amongst beer cans and crisp packets. Nice video!

Thanks Peter, I only really got to fish a couple of day ticket venues for tench, probably Chigborough main lake on a weekday would be favourite, i don't remember rubbish being a problem there and there's a decent head of tench too as you can see, worth a go
