Well, now we move into jumps : )
High jump's the competition that's probably the most curious.. As far as I know, no-one has ever been able to achieve the maximum height, ie 2,5 m. One could say it would be based on the fact that Javier Sotomayor has had the exact height as his actual, real-life outstanding world record (you can see it here: • Javier Sotomayor - Hig... ), only... the game was published in 1992, a year BEFORE that ; o So perhaps it's an (un)intentional bug... This should be approached with TAS tools like frame advance(as in "paused game" ; )/multiple input frame-by-frame/multiple save states to solve the mystery, perhaps some calculactions on a side would be needed, too.. and maybe, just maybe it's possible.
So far tho, that's the world record, both in-game and in real-life : ) The key is, as usual, enter spam-mashing and perfect time to both hold and release space bar which is responsible for both initiating the jump (hold) and doing the Fosbury Flop (release).

Curiosity: this competition (along with 400 m hurdles I mentioned before) and discus throw, hammer throw, shot put and long jump, has the oldest (still standing) real-life world record as of now. Of those 6, all beside the high jump record were achieved before or on the year the game was published (1992, it was released at the end of it) : )
