Hurrem was forcefully taken from her home and she developed a survival mechanism which was learning how to plot from Valide,Mahidevran and Ibrahim .I wouldnt call her evil but she learnt her lessons well outwitting the teachers.

True. Hurrem was like a palace puppet when she first came. Everyone in the place was stepping on her and pushing her around. Especially Valide, Ibrahim, and Mahidervan, who were always plotting and scheming. It was from them she learned palace politics, and realized that getting angry and lashing out was getting her no where. Also she listen to Nigar who told her many times to hold her temper and count before acting. Then Hurrem started to get some power, then the tide turned in her favour. She was able to dish out subtly some of what was giving to her. Hurrem even said it, that the ones who humiliated her and made her kneel before them would now kneel before her. She made good on this many times over.!!!!

Both of you put it very well. The harem was a "pit of snakes" from valide sultan to mahidrevan and the maids. Don't foget ibrahim!Hureem was a quick learner ... she took the insults and advices in her strides (both good and bad) and gave them back the same or more - both good and bad again. She's a survivor ... everybody was power hungry, greedy and a bully ...

Firuze has been poisoning Suleiman for months and no one noticed until now. Hurrem saved him again- the only loyal person to Suleiman in the whole palace.

Firuze has been poisoning Suleiman for months no one notices even Sultan also . He was betrayed many times with his wife . Always His Queen saves him from all evils . .

Most badass scene of ibrahim riding like wind to save his best friend.. Only if he was humble not arrogant

Hurrem is truly the only one person who really loved and respected Suleiman. Of course she had her own interests, but never to the point to rebel against the sultan, or to think that she is more powerful than him, even when he kicked her out of the palace, she respected that decision. She protected the lives of her sons like any other mother would do in her situation. Rember when she said to Mustafa “I wish that you were my son.”

I like this small detail: even though they're clashing, at this stage, Hurrem and Hatice can still put their differences and squabbles aside, when a person they both care for is in peril. Talk about not one dimensional characters

If suleiman was gone in this episode, mehmed was automatically the sultan and hurrem sultan the new valide sultana.

Sulyeman, Hurrem and children are the only family she has. Naturally she’s very protective and loyal to Sulyeman as her husband and Sultan. She’s even drank ‘poison’ when Sulyeman asked her to.

But the problem was that Hatice and Ibrahim were Hurrem's enemies already. Hatice was just playing a game. At first she was supportive of Hurrem, then her mood changed and she became very hostile and belligerent towards Hurrem. I think she listened to Mahidervan moan, groan and complain constantly about Hurrem doing this and that. Just like I think Mahidervan did to the Valide too, always complaining turning them against Hurrem. Although Hasfa hated Hurrem from the first time she arrived, and played games of being nice and then nasty.

On the one hand, it was nice to see her comforting her. On the other hand she and Ibrahin were going to use Süleyman's death to put Mustafa on the throne. Which would have meant the deaths of Hürrem and her kids. I think it was written to be a touching moment but the writers didn't think through the pretty obvious and sinister implications.

Mahidevran gave a ring to Suleiman before she left for Manisa. Maybe that's where the poison was? Also Rustem had access to the Sultans room. Perhaps he did it as a trap for Firuze.

Mahidevran is so desperate trying to get Suleiman back but losing again😆😆😆

The real Suleiman!!! Never did anything like this because he knew the value of his wife!! Hurrem would have never let this happen! The writers of this show really thrash the integrity of a national hero! I skipped the part of the season where the snake appears! The writers were bad at writing they never completed the scenes of the poison to come to a satisfactory conclusion they were that incompetent made the sultanate look stupid!!!

All of these dynasty dramas are the same - lots of fiction with a bit of historical fact thrown in. Series like these make me curious about the real historical periods and people. Most reasonable people understand it is not a documentary.

In my opinion Haseki Hurrem Sultan was undoubtedly the only one who had the right to sit on the throne as the ruler of Turkey after Sultan Suleiman 👑💥

Firuze (real name Huymerya) was a Persian spy in the harem of Suleiyman. Little is known of Huymerya's background, other than she was originally from Safavid Iran. She was presumably very loyal to the dynasty, eventually becoming a spy, and was sent to infiltrate the Ottoman Harem. To blend in, Huymerya (using the name Firuze) was taken by a slave ship bound for Turkey, and at one point helped a woman escape. She eventually arrived at Istanbul. While bathing, another woman noticed Firuze's Safavid tattoo and asked what it was. She claimed it was nothing. Overtime, Firuze became very close with Suleyman and his family, enraging Hurrem Sultan, who tried to have her killed. Hurrem's assassin discovered the tattoo and notified her. Seeing a better way to remove Firuze, Hurrem notified the Sultan. Firuze claimed to have been a Persian princess who fled Persia following the murder of her father. Suleyman ultimately exiled her from the palace. While leaving Ottoman territory, Huymerya was intercepted by Persian soldiers, who said that the Shah and real Firuze had been concerned about her. She then smiled, and was presumably taken back to Iran to be rewarded for his mission. Shortly thereafter, Suleyman fell ill, likely being poisoned by Huymerya.

@@villagelifevillagecooking1186 Ibrahim's downfall is not Hurrem's doing. He built a throne with lions in his palace where he received diplomats even proclaiming himself sultan. It worried Hatice. A pasha reported on him , minutes of the meeting with his exact words were reported to Suleiman.

@@irenej.lising8863 Ibrahim is no God , when his suggestions and bravery was gaining positivity he was going into arrogance but later Suleiman forgive him like every other person(hurrem,salim,byezid ,mustafa,vallide....) dear to him. But the reason of death of Ibrahim and Mustafa was all because of Hurren's plot . Even valide's death was also due to hurrem in some extent. Hurrem wanted to make the king listen only to her and she never want anyone to be closer to the King. Why can't she stay like every other women of SuleiMan. All the internal affairs happening inside the Harem has impact directly or indirectly in the downfall of Ottomans. If the next ruler of Ottoman after Suleiman was brave mustafa (and not that wicked casanova Salim )with the great advisor Ibrahim the territory of ottoman empire might have extended. Just my thought🙂

He was reported to Suleiman by pasha showing proofs of transcription of meetings where he arrogantly claimed the powers of sultan. Hurrem's plot aggravated an already very serious situation.

Of course she cared for the throne. For whoever got on to the throne especially Mustafa, hureem and her children would be all dead. She was fighting for survival for herself and mostly for her children who were still young except for Mehmet and Mihrima.
