Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay), exiled from the palace, takes Sultan İbrahim to boxwood. There they face each other. However, Sultan İbrahim (Tugay Mercan) has no intention of returning from his decision.
Kösem Sultan wants to teach Sultan İbrahim a lesson. Together with the Grand Vizier Kemankeş Pasha (Ismail Demirci), they decide to provoke the Janissaries. Learning this, Turhan Sultan (Hande Doğandemir) wants to make a big difference between mother and son. He steals Kösem Sultan's seal and sends orders to the janissary on behalf of Kösem Sultan.
Kemankeş Pasha, who has been exposed, is sentenced to death by Sultan İbrahim. Kösem Sultan kidnaps Kemankeş and hides it. Learning about Kemankeş's hiding place, Turhan Sultan tells Sultan İbrahim where he is in return for an agreement.
Captured Kemankeş Pasha is executed in front of Kösem Sultan. Kösem Sultan learns that it was Turhan Sultan who did all this.
Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. The power of Kosem Sultan became the greatest authority of the state through Murad IV, will be shaken by the iron fist of Sultan Murad, who wants to seize power. With his determination and might, Murad will give the Ottoman Empire its strongest period after Suleiman the Magnificent. The defeats of the state inside and outside will close the era.

This scene is similar as in season 1 when Halime believed that she would be Valide, when Safiye offered her to put Mustafa on the throne,and dethrone Ahmed. While all the time she was saying that Safiye is dangerous, and that she is responsible for Mahmud's death,but yet she chosed to believed in her. Here, Turhan thought that Ibrahim would have done exactly what she had said. While all the time she want to dethrone him, and saying that she needs to save her son from him.
Kosem herself made many mistakes in her journey to become powerful. Why would it be different for Turhan? In this specific plot, she is partially right, Kemankes is Kosem's strongest man in the Divan. If they catch him, it would be a strong message, as if it is the beginning of Kosem's end, the end of an era. However, she doesn't have a stable Sultan at her side. Additionally, it is not as if Ibrahim was in love with her or respect her. The best she can do is to bury those feelings, those memories of him and just move on. Sending Telli Humasha away won't resolve her problems with Ibrahim even though it is for revenge purposes she is doing all this.

Turhan can take the 4 place(in this series).No one can replace Handan, Atike and Ayse, in terms of worst written characters.

I rewatched some scenes from the original series, meaning the one about Suleiman, and my god the quality of writing was so much better back then, compared to this nonsense. Every time I watch a Kosem scene, I feel like I am listening to recycled dialogue over and over again.

@@leoswiftieI suspected that something might have happened because after that MC's writing was fuckep up , the show was going towards how hurrem was becoming more evolved , how mihirimah found as much peace as she could in her marriage and was becoming a strong character and how mustafa was learning the game against hurrem by using his siblings ( using not loving on ibrahim's advice ) and suleiman who is literally a clever sultan but then hurrem turned into a "vamp" , mihirimah a desperate princess , mustafa the all loving and innocent prince and suleiman an idiot who can trust anyone . seriously writing of s4 in MC was pathetic and obviously for most part in kosem series as well .
