While Suleiman looks forward to coming together with Hürrem, his whole world comes crashing down around him because of the news he receives.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

No one can play the role of Suleiman better than this actor. His expressions are more powerful than dialogues. He made this moment real with painful expressions. His eyes convey his emotions very well 👏👏
Sultan Suleiman invaded my country many years ago, literally destroyed it and I am completely in love with him and Hurrem! 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️
Suleiman ignored hurrem so much and left her at edirne and at old palace many a time. Now, she is dying he cares for her (ik he wrote that letter before knowing of disease but still-)
Like I said before , by only looking at suleiman's eyes , you can get the whole story of magnificent century . That expression after sumbel informed him of the doomed news , it looked as if his world had fallen apart right there . His expressions during his final dinner with Ibrahim were also apt . Those cold eyes and the smile not reaching the eyes ; looked so fake full of anger , sadness , betrayal at the same time . In the tent during mustafa's death , those eyes looked as if devil had taken over them . Wow amazing .
Suleiman doing the same thing he did with Ibrahim before executing him: smiling to comfort the person. However, unlike in that scene, both his smile and his eyes are filled with love, whereas with Ibrahim, he played a smile but his eyes were burning with hate and sadness
This entire clip just shows how great Suleyman and Hurrem's love is.
Great acting from Suleiman and Hürrem, a nice scene. However, none of their scenes together compare to their last scene together, with Suleiman comforting Hürrem by calling her sweet names as she dies peacefully in his lap
Halit made a masterpiece in Suleiman's role❤ looks so broken when see Vahide/Hürrem smile
This scene is the best explanation of Suleiman's deep Love for Hurrem when he found out about her illness, his reaction as if the whole world was over for him.
now u regret ignoring her LOL deserved

This one clip is an entire masterclass on how to emote 101. I rewatch this scene only for the expressions - so much conveyed in the last 10 seconds without a word. All the three (Suleiman, Hurrem and Sumbul) are terrific actors.
their eye contact and Suleiman's teary eyes, painful smile 💔 Broke everything
Vahide's smile 😭😭🥺
The performace of the actors in this clip alone is better than the entire careers of most.

I remember when Vahide first appeared instead of Meryem, I was throwing temper tantrums and writing everywhere that there is nothing to watch any more and that they chose worst Hurrem. Who would have thought that in few episodes I would fall in love with this woman and appreciate her more than Meryem. Vahide’s Hurrem is Royal, Intelligent, Graceful, Mature, Brave, Patient, Ruthless and Kind same time, to sum up-EVERYTHING what real historical Hurrem used to be.👑
after the 100th episode of Muhteşem Yüzyıl, everything became sad and grieving...deaths of characters, old age, saddness everywhere, old flashbacks, sultan rethinking his decisions and time spent with his close ones...ahhh I'll never find any series better than this one ❤️💯
I admire how Halit Ergenc played the role of suleiman!i highly salute how talented he was...love it
Ohhh the balcony scenes never get old 🔥🔥
