Mohtram Kamil Sahib ASA First of all kindly pardon me for my straightforward comments on the discussion 🙏🏻 امید ھے آپ میری اس جسارت کو میری کم علمی سمجھ کر در گزر فرمایئں گے I listened to your talk / conversation and tried my level best to find out the focus of the discussion but unfortunately found totally lost. You talked about architecture then started taking about modernism and then explained how modernism is represented as materialism and how classism with romanticism was ideology based attitude and then started taking about the local economic problems of pakistan ( not even with reference to any aspect of effect of modernism on economies) without making the listener understand what relevance it has with the modernism and then informed that present subject is not even modernism it is in fact era if post modernism and beyond ( we failed to understand it was Pakistsn of global aspect) and then linked this with political attitude of our temporary governments with regard to money borrowing for survival. The talk was enough to push a common person like me into a state of total confusion as to what was the objective of the talk. After listening to what ever you said , I found myself in a state of total confusion and now holding my head to find out what your style of architecture and approach of finding rationale of practicing classic period craft has to do with the economic realities explained by you I found that you touched many subjects of society in a single episode which together has presented quite an eclectic set of ideas having little supporting link within the subjects you touched منتشر خیالات کا مجموعہ کہ سکتے ھیں جس میں ربط کا اندازہ لگانا ایک دشوار کام ھی نہیں بلکہ ناممکن ھے All subjects which have been touched by you in manner of statements ( absolute truth ) as in fact highly controversial subjects. From your understanding of history , and the philosophy of history which help understand the transformations of societies , analysed reasons of the falls and rise of societies and respective impacts on economics and human behaviours……… all require great deal of deliberations. Can not be left by such sweeping statements as if these are universal truths. In fact all subjects which came under your discussion are full of controversies of view points like you talked about the aspects of Ryasat e madina and expressed your point of view like a statement whereas fact is that , we are totally devoid of any such documented history of that period Any statement about those affairs require reference to the authentic books of history which are unfortunately not available at all except the book of history written by Tabri in 13 volumes with no authentic reference to any documentation from that period Al are nothing but stories no more than fairy tale stories My humble request from Mohtram Kamil Sahib is to confine the parameters of discussions to his rationale behind practicing the style of architecture that prevailed during the pre industrial culture in today’s world of globalisation in an era of the post industrial time where world has crossed all technological realms technology and communication and where artificial intelligence is fast affecting all conventional forms of production … an era where the speed of change has become unprecedentedly so high that by the time one product comes in market , it is already obsolete ‎ھے اتنی تیز رفتار زمانہ ‎مٹے جاتے ھیں قدموں کے نشاں بھی 🙏🏻
