Suji Roti recipe | Rava Roti recipe | Semolina Roti recipe | Sooji Roti

Suji Roti is a savoury semolina pancake from Karnataka. This crispy roti is best enjoyed with chutney or chutney powder.

* List of ingredients:
1. Bombay rava (suji) - 2 cups
2. Cut onion - 1 cup
3. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 cup
4. Grated coconut - 1 small cup
5. Chopped green chillies - 3
6. Salt - 2 teaspoons
* Method of preparation:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup cut onion, 1 cup chopped coriander leaves, 1 small cup grated coconut, 3 chopped green chillies, 2 cups bombay rava, 2 teaspoons salt (can vary as per taste and quantity) and mix well.
2. Then, slowly add lukewarm water and continue mixing to make a soft dough (not too watery but thick enough to hold in your hand).
3. Heat tawa on medium flame and once it becomes a little hot, take some dough and pat on the tawa. Dip your fingers in water, flatten and spread the dough to make a round roti.
4. Apply oil and cover with a lid.
5. Flip the roti, apply oil and continue cooking on medium flame. Repeat the same process until roti is cooked evenly on both the sides.
6. Enjoy crispy, tasty roti with fresh chutney.
