Suji Ka Halwa Recipe | Rava Halwa | Semolina Dessert Recipe | Nishoo's kitchen
It is also known as Semolina dessert , is a traditional Pakistani, Indian and Sri Lankan dessert that holds a cherished place in South Asian culinary traditions. It is made from semolina (suji), ghee or butter sugar, and water or milk, and often garnished with nuts and raisins. Halwa is characterized by its rich, creamy texture and aromatic flavor, often enhanced with cardamom.
This dessert is commonly prepared during festivals, religious ceremonies, and special occasions, symbolizing prosperity and offering a delightful treat to guests. Its simple ingredients and straightforward cooking method make it a beloved comfort food, enjoyed by people of all ages.

Ingredients for Making Sugar Syrup:
2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
3-4 Green Cardamom
Ingredients for Making Halwa:
100gm butter
1 cup Semolina
Sugar Syrup
1/2 tsp Yellow Food Color
Ingredients for Fried Nuts:
2 tbs butter
2-3 tbs Chopped Almonds
2-3 tbs chopped cashew nuts
1/4 cup Raisins
1) Directions for Sugar Syrup Preparation:
Heat water in a pot, add sugar and green
cardamom. Cook until sugar dissolves properly then set it aside.
2) Directions for Halwa Preparation:
Heat butter in a pot, add semolina. Cook
until fragrant.
Add sugar syrup and cook for 10 mins.
Add yellow food color and cook until halwa
leaves the pan then Set it aside.
3) Directions for Fried Nuts Preparation:
Heat butter in a pan, add cashew
almonds, raisins, and roast for a minute.
Add these fried nuts to the prepared halwa, mix it well, dish it out and garnish with nuts.
Serve it with tea or coffee.
Your Suji ka Halwa is ready.
