I got knocked out cold at a Suicidal concert back in 94. After returning to the living some guy said “Here, take these. It’ll make you feel better.” It was 2 hits of acid. He was right, I felt better.

When I was a kid in the 80's, my buddy Shawn who was 2 years older than me introduced me to skateboarding and introduced me to Punk . That first summer, he taught me how to skate the half pipe he had in his backyard and then how to shred on the street. When it was time to go home at night he would lend me his Punk records to listen to. I think the first ST album was the first Punk record I ever saw. Punk rock and skateboarding in the 80's in SoCal was a way of life for many of us. We were HATED by most and respected by few but we wore that as a badge of honor.

Anti-corruption of the mind is the central message of all they preach, luscious metal rhythms and songs that turn up our emotions to 11. Beyond thrash meta;'s boundaries and well outside of punk sensibilities, they tore through the angst to appeal to the individual fan giving them perspectives that will never be outdated, compassion, truth and wisdom, wrapped in a humility too often missing from other rock icons that have only withered and conformed. S.T. forever with respect and love for who they are and what they've accomplished! Will be watching this asap!

These guys showed up. I mean showed up at the living room in providence RI. It was instant family, we skated, we learned about there scene, Venice, They blew the roof off. Just solid people with great energy.. for a young while punk from suburbia this was what I was to learn was punk rock ethos. The melting pot. It taught us a bit about Latino culture and that ultimately we all have struggles. Unity. What a great memory ripping those parking curbs and feeling free. Gracias hermanos. 🤩🤠

No one "introduces" people to fads and genres - they discover them while living in the times. Just because someone happen to be with them the day they started going to skate parties, etc. doesn't mean they "introduced" them to it - like they wouldn't have found it without them.

Saw ST in a small club in NY in the late 80's. Great show, even got up on that stage with Mike Muir. Got the classis ST ball cap, and had it hidden in my room from my mom. One day I came home from high school, and all of my tapes and posters were piled on the kitchen table ripped up, and my beloved ST hat was cut in half. Didn't work. I still love suicidal.

This reminds me of the transition into Grunge, back then it was Slayer, Biohazard, C.O.C. Suicidal, Metallica and Megadeth for me. I grew up learning to smoke weed in a flannel/button shirt. Then Grunge came along and everyone thought it was about Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Green Day. Then I throw up the ST! "ST BITCH!" From 1990 to around 1992 we even had our own little Riverside click. Just a group of stoners that took up the banner.

Fan since 89', their first album is one of the great hardcore punk albums. Did not enjoy the funk element that was brought in later on but that is just my opinion. Love the message they introduced to me and... I needed to hear it - change has to come from the inside and stop blaming the external for all your problems.
