I haven't been to Sugarloaf Mtn in about 15 years, but this brings back a lot of memories from my racing days. You're right about the elevation gain. I did the cycling leg of an Ironman distance team relay triathlon in 2003, starting in Clermont, and according to the official race packet the elevation gain over 2 laps of the 56 mile course, including climbing Sugarloaf twice, was over 5,000 ft. The state championship road race was also held at Sugarloaf several times in the early 1990s, with cat 1,2 race having to climb it 8 times. Going down Sugarloaf is also the fastest I've ever gone on a bicycle. If I remember right, 56mph. I've lived in nearby Mt Dora since the mid 70s, so I trained a lot in the Sugarloaf/Ferndale/Clermont area during the 25+ years I was in bike racing.

Congratulations Alex for another fantastic video! May God bless you and your new projects!
Thank you for the sugarloaf mountain Strava route. I drove down to Winter Garden last weekend and rode it Saturday and Sunday. I stopped by the shop also to thank you and buy some drink and protein bars. Awesome shop and your staff was very friendly. You were still out but I appreciate you. Maybe next time I can catch a ride with your group. Cheers...

Thank you for stopping by the shop! Sorry I missed you, maybe next time 🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻
Absolutely loved this video! I'm always excited to see an upload from you. May have to visit your shop in the near future :D
I'm glad I came across your channel just in time! I moved to Brevard Co and I needed to find hills before this year's ragbrai

Most of Central and North FLA is full of hills and hilly terrain. Only reason why people think Florida is flat is because South Fla Miami, Fort Lauderdale, are basically completely flat. And Miami is the most well known city in Florida. Here are some towns that are full of hills and high elevation hill tops. Clermont Minneola Leesburg Mount Dora Eustis Ocala Brooksville Pine Hills (Orlando Neighborhood) Lake Wales These are just towns in Central FLA, theres even more in the north.
Congratulations!!!
Great ride , I love canyon bikes, can't wait to visit the shop next time I'm in Orlando area. ✌️✌️

Awesome! we will be happy to have you 👊
Great video as always
Alex, the shop is looking nice and professional. Can't wait to visit in January when I arrive for the winter. SugarLoaf is on my todo list each year. I missed it this year due to a minor injury recovery from 1000 metre climbs in Girona, Spain last September.

Thanks! I imagine Sugarloaf is nothing compared to the mountains in Spain
As part of a cross America bike tour I rode from the panhandle east to st Augustine. We went through Tallahassee, it was NOT flat

Looks like an interesting route
Love your videos man. I'll pass by one day to check out your bikes. I want to transition more into gravel/read biking for more diversity. Good luck, and keep it up

Brilliant news on the Canyon rentals and service! Any chance of expanding the fleet with an Aeroad cause I’ve been itching to ride one for sometime now 😅

I’m itching to get a Canyon Aeroad for myself. Stunning bike and not much heavier than the ultimate

Just use your closest bridge for your hills.
