I've enjoyed watching your build progress. I grew up in a family that produced maple syrup, mostly just for personal use. Brought back a lot of fond memories. Thank you.

Thanks we just finished the last of the small things today, and brought our firewood out . We are ready to boil !

Love this build. What evaporator did you use? Make and size? What is the size of this shack? Are you going to use a head tank for the evaporator? Cant wait to see this thing fire up.

Our evaporator is a dominion and Grimm 18x63. The shack is 12’x14’. Yes we are going to put an IBC tote outside behind the shack and plumb a line through the wall to the float box. All our gravity lines feed into our tote. Thanks, new videos of the up coming season soon.

Sounds great! I was reading up on dominion and Grimm today. I am in the process of moving to Vermont. My land is a sugar bush of 50 acres. I am quite a machinist and fabricator and may build my own. Not happy with CDL or Leader designs. I saw an old Smith Bros that I liked. But they are gone. The Grimm design seems to be one of the better new designs that still has heritage. How many taps are you running
