The big four and what a time for boxing. That's when everyone fought everyone. The greatest years in boxing. Duran fought all three and lost to all three. What made Ray so special was his speed and he was slick as hell boxer. Very slick and crafty with the hands. See the other three was straight bangers Ray out box all three. Moves up in weight to beat Hagler. Hagler retired after that fight. Ray wasn't stupid he know not to bang with these guys. He made that mistake with Duran the 1st fight.
This was a great fight. You watched a man overcome his fear and win. I’m from Detroit we still love you HEARNS. To Sugar Ray RESPECT.

Tommy vs Ray, epic fights. They are friends. If you lived and got to see the boxing of the late 70s and 80s you really witnessed greatness
Greatest era of boxing. Tommy Hearns is one of my favorites. He doesn’t break his hand vs hagler… I feel like he would of been Mike Tyson before Mike Tyson. Sugar Ray was fun to watch too. But I’m a Hearns guy
So much legacy in just one room, even Mike could sense the old rivalry pressure
