OMG I just made this cake and it is amazing!!❤️❤️ It is so dense and supple. The smell and taste is dominated by banana, I couldn't taste the dates but the nutrition of dates is surely there! It's barely sweet, like 1.5-2 out of 5 on sweetness scale. If you want to enhance the taste you can add one tablespoon powered sugar. Also the coco powder seems to be unnecessary as I couldn't identify any chocolatey taste, just banana. So if you wanna skip it go ahead. Also you want it more healthy remove the chocolate chip and coco powder and add nuts and raisins instead. I garnished with roughly chopped walnuts and I am loving this cake. Such a quick and healthy recipe. Thank you so much for posting this ☺️☺️☺️💖💖

you didn't taste any chocolate put a freezed chocolate bar on top of cake before putting in oven (or freezed nutella spoon portion ) , this trick give you the melted chocolate effect on top of cake , try it

Use Dutch processed high quality cocoa powder. Maybe you used Hershey's or Cadbury or some similar brand

Hi!! I made this cake yesterday with a gluten free chocolate cake mix and substituting the milk with water.. I added chopped dates instead of chocolate chips... Still it came out really well and it tasted good too. Thank you so much.. ☺️👍

Dates contain sugar so the cake is not sugarless. Try using Splenda instead of Sugar.

The cake turned out super delicious and all at home loved it...Thanks for the wonderful receipe...I used Khapli wheat instead of regular wheat and it tasted fab...its really a guilt free receipe with no sugar and no maida..Very much appreciate that though being an eggless cake there was no curd used.Still the cake was super soft....Too good...super happy to have made it❤❤

Same thing happened with my cake. Even after 60 min it failed. It was sticky inside and burnt from outside.

If you're baking this cake in the oven, cover the open top with foil, so that it cooks in its heat and steam without the top burning first. It will not bake in 30 minutes, it bakes in about 50-60 minutes in a 190 degree oven.

Thanks for the recipe! I tried baking it in the oven following your instructions, but ended up with an uncooked cake. I had to bake it at 305°C for another 45 minutes after the initial 30 minutes at 180°C. In total, it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get it cooked. Maybe the baking timings need adjustment, but otherwise, everything turned out great!

Your baking powder or baking soda was too old or you mixed too much or your oven temperature was not enough, try again its a good cake and very easy too

@sparwaal it did bake, it was moist and good. But I honestly couldn't finish it because it had a very strong banana 5 that was on me. The recipe turned out just like it shows in the video
