No that is not true. Being ugly is for everyone different. It is taste. If you find someone ugly doesnt mean you are ugly too.
@SpicePrincess1890
5 жыл бұрын
@@Jongen. You misunderstand the message of this song and this comment. Basically, it means that, if someone things you are not attractive, or wants to bring down your confidence, and they have the mind and desire to want to outwardly call you ugly to your face, then they, in turn, have an ugly mindset for wanting to be mean toward you in the first place. They may call you ugly physically, but regardless if that's true or not, THEY are ugly on the inside.

This is a song I want to dedicate to my manager, who made me feel dumb and useless inside after the first yearly review. I'm not vicious or angry, but want to remind them that their words are also a reflection of how they feel about themselves inside, too. I'm leaving the job and trust the wounds will heal and make me stronger. Thank you, Sugababes, for performing such a relatable song.

"Ugly" When I was 7 They said I was strange I noticed that my eyes and hair weren't the same I asked my parents if I was OK They said you're more beautiful And that's the way they show that they wish That they had your smile So my confidence was up for a while I got real comfortable with my own style I knew that they were only jealous cos People are all the same And we only get judged by what we do Personality reflects name And if I'm ugly then So are you So are you There was a time when I felt like I cared That I was shorter than everyone there People made me feel like life was unfair And I did things that made me ashamed Cos I didn't know my body would change I grew taller than them in more ways But there will always be the one who will say Something bad to make them feel great People are all the same And we only get judged by what we do Personality reflects name And if I'm ugly then So are you So are you People are all the same And we only get judged by what we do Personality reflects name And if I'm ugly then So are you So are you Everybody talks bad about somebody And never realises how it affects somebody And you bet it won't be forgotten Envy is the only thing it could be Cos people are all the same (The same, the same) And we only get judged by what we do (What we do, yeah, yeah) Personality reflects name And if I'm ugly then (Yeah, you) So are you So are you People are all the same (Oh, oh, oh) And we only get judged by what we do (What we do, yeah) Personality reflects name And if I'm ugly then (Yeah, so are you) So are you So are you

@SpicePrincess1890

I used to love this song when I was 7 because it said "When I was 7" in it so I felt a connection to it. At such a young age it made me feel better when I was sad about anything. I'm now 19 and still searched this song up. I'll always cherish it and its important message.

"I asked my parents if I was okay" sounds the most reasonable, but I can swear she sings something like "I asked my parents see if I was okay", maybe it's "to see if I was okay" or something or she just says "parents" weird.

This song sends a good message to everyone, it is a nice song. No one should bring someone down, just because, they may be hurting or because they want to be unkind.
It is still better to be yourself and liked by no one than pretending to be someone and like by everyone. Just be who you really are and ignore the people who call you names!

Why can't we have more empowering songs like these? With real morals within them. Most music I hear today are about sex appeal and romance.

This song inspires me so much. When I feel down because of what people have said I listen to this. It makes me feel like I am good enough and I deserve to feel beautiful. Bitchy girls have a lot to learn from this song!
this is a real and strong song! the lyrics makes sense ! verry good song.
You just can't beat a good old fashioned pat on the back song about universal acceptance of how all us humans are just the neatest thing ever. Personally, I sing like a sphincter, and The Sugababes are happy to share that they do too. Bravo!!
They have changed more than my underwear.
Great song, great message!

This Song Is 14 Years Old Now. Time Flies. (9-14-2019)
Honestly one of my favourite sugababes songs very fitting it was mutya’s mostly vocals over her last record in her original run in the sugababes 🤍
Songs back then were so... damn. Nostalgia hitting me like a truck.
I'm an adopted child this song hits me so hard❤
still listening to them in 2017 and want them back asap 🙏🏽
The incredible Mutya!❤ its interesting to see Mutya taking the lead in so many of the songs where it's her vocals which provide the introduction to so many of the songs which presumably must have been part of the production formula adopted by the band with emphasis on the contrast between the incredible voices of both Mutya and Keisha.
13 years later and this song still makes me feel more comfortable to be me
I love this song, always makes me tear up
These lyrics are so inspirational. Its all about personality not looks

A beautiful song that brings a tear to my eyes every time :') I used to get picked on for having big eyes and weird hair as a kid, and I've always been very short. Hearing this makes me remember how low people made me feel about myself, but also how now I have "grown taller than them in more ways" :)
