My dad passed on a week and 5 days ago. I remember listening to this song on a blast in the shower while he slept in my bedroom as he was ill and just discharged from the hospital . It brought calmness and joy to me I guess it was preparing me for the day he's gone. Now that he's no more I find so much meaning in this track in remembrance of him. I know that his light is shining upon me. Now instead of crying I smile.

I would like to share something magical that I've experienced with this song last week. Remembering great times of music, the previous week I put this song in a 90s list I have just created in KZread, but I had unintentionally activated the subtitles. It was a surprise to me , really shocking, that this song talked about someone who has passed away. Inmediately I though of my mum, who sadly passed away 5 years ago. I kept reading the lyrics and found tears in my eyes (I was 12 when this song came out and couldn't understand very much). Well, the thing is that I'm a singer and 2 days after I discovered what were the lyrics about, when I finished my little show in the hotel where I work at, my mate DJ started his. And... Guess what was the first song to play that night... I knew it was my mum speaking to me❤

That's a beautiful story. This song definitely hits you differently when you listen to it after losing a loved one. We used to party and dance to this song when I was 18 with not a care in the world. My dad passed away a few years later and so have other close friends and family over the years. This song makes me think of them and I tear up. I believe your mom felt your thoughts and sent a message to your DJ friend to play this for you. The vibration of sound through music and electricity is a common language we share with our loved ones in spirit and helps them communicate with us. Your mom is always with you!

I also want people to love everyone around them now… and appricate life for what we have even a bad is a day you are blessed with being alive and can be something. So Janet Jackson was brought up in a Jehovah witness household. The Watchtower Publications that shows paradise as pretty much what's in this video. People moving around with animals as one. All types of different ethnicities and races all just living as one. Just hanging out with lions and tigers and all of that stuff and that's paradise. It almost seems as though this is what is being depicted in this video. I remember an interview with her saying this video was more or less a tribute for friends in he industry that lost their lives. I hope I am not mistaken but I believe their lives were lost to AIDS but regardless, loss is loss no matter what cause. It is as if she's saying she will see her friends again in paradise. Now this is just my my summation of the video and my knowledge of what the Watchtowers Publications looked like in the way they depicted paradise. it's a very beautiful video.

I love this song. Everything I watch one of her music videos, I just say she is so beautiful before I even hear the song. Happy 57th Birthday to this beautiful and talented singer, queen, and icon, Janet Jackson! ❤❤🥳🎉🎊5/16/2023

Heard this song a few days after my dad passed. I cried so hard but it helped me so much to see things on a better perspective.

My mom loved this song when her mom, my grandmother ,passed away when i was much younger. My mom passed away in 2020 from Covid and now every time I hear it I think of her when I listen to the lyrics. It is by far one of Janet's most beautiful songs.
