@@jamesatkinsfishing you should go and fish on the Ocean pit at Weybread then you can catch some bream that will look big even in your hands! Shoals and shoals of double figure bream patrolling the vastness of the lake. You will need a lot of bait to hold them though!

@@jamesatkinsfishing Hi James, a good pointer for you is to watch the video on here called “Phil Spinks Specimen Series - Bream”, it will show you where he is fishing in relation to the island. However, on such a large water with such a huge head of very large bream anywhere will produce in theory. What you need to do is get a carp fishing Spod/marker rod loaded with braid and a marker float, and plumb the likely looking swims in search of a plateau of 6 - 9 feet of water with surrounding deeper water, or find a defined gravel bar, and fish the bottom of the slope. It’s important to marker the spot on the Spod/marker rod by clipping the the line up on the spool at the correct distance that you find the feature. Mark out along the bank the length of the distance and set your fishing rod(s) to this length and either mark the line or clip them up to endure the distance can be repeated. And bait up the spot overnight or for a couple of days with a very very large quantity of bait. And when you fish you will need to use a lot of bait to keep them feeding on the spot or they will move off. Another pointer for you is to invest in a pair of 1.75lb test curve rods to be able to fish at range with feeders and be able to cope with fish of double figure size. Hope that helps, tight lines.
