  Been there a few times never really done well, it’s not an easy place to fish but that heat would have killed me so well done you The heat affects the Oxygen levels so the fish become a little lethargic even with an aerator as it’s a big body of water.

  Geezzz, I used to fish there 15 odd years ago when a couple of the Waveney boys run Sunday opens, it was all carp back then and very peggy.

  @@jamesatkinsfishing Will say, the place looks totally different with all the willow trees. back then it was all grass banks with trees just on the road side opposite the canal( i think it was called), may give it a visit in the near future as i'm back fishing after 10 years.

  yes it was Richard, when i got in the van it said 29 degrees, and i think it put the fish off, the chap that won it said he caught carp on his peg when he got shade on it, Thank you for commenting Richard,

  Well done mate...you played a blinder I bet them ow boys will ban you 😂 1st match with um and you cleaned up 👌😂 was the new van a tranny custom sporty thing peeping up in the background now and again, I did pick up from another comment someone left.....you wrote in the title about winning the match, we knew the ending before the start, but hey-ho mate a bloody good well done mate. Oh... and I thought you were Matrix through and through but I spotted the Preston top kit holder 👍 But at the end of the day.... well done James 👍

  yes Kirk very happy, they didn't knock me for it coz no one told me they prefer 40lb nets coz of are ages lol, so they let me off, but they did say 10%, of 50lb so i got of the biggest net was 55lb 6oz, FEW, Thank you for commenting mate,

  I've seen you put foul hooked fish in the net multiple times in a few matches! When I was on the match circuit, foul hooked fish went back because they didn't count.

  Unlucky James. Last but if you hadn't lost those 2 early fish you would have been a lot closer the others. I know you said you fed and fished with pellets, did you try Corn or wafters or even dead maggots. These are all good change baits when fishing is hard. Also when you were fighting the fish you did catch I didnt notice you throwing bait in the area you were getting the bites.. Never mind mate, onwards and upwards. Cheers
