Suede is so incredibly underrated. Suede B-sides are all quality tracks. this was on We are the Pigs singles. Killing of a Flashboy and Whipsnade are the b-sides.

This is my favorite Suede track. Love the complex lyrics, the guitar and the snappy, caribbean reggae vibe.

Suede is one of my favorite bands. I’m so glad you are checking them out. They are not typical britpop. Their music and lyrics are more sophisticated. Please check out the Dog Man Star album or more songs off the Sci-fi Lullabies b-sides double album. They have the greatest b-side track ever called My Dark Star

I think you're right about the lyrics being dark and violent. Actually, the song was a b-side to their single "We Are The Pigs", "Killing Of A Flashboy" was the other b-side. The lyrics to all these three songs can be described dark and violent, I'd say. Not sure if that's why they chose those two b-sides for that single or if that was just a coincidence. "Whipsnade", in my opinion, is also the most unique Suede song out there, but they have a huge catalog and I'm sure others would disagree and name other songs as their most unique ones.

Whipsnade is a Zoo (and Village of the same name) in the UK, the Zoo is probably better known than village its named after.

Suede's B-Sides for the first three albums were truly excellent (often better than the album tracks). If I remember correctly "Killing of a Flash Boy" was the other B-Side (on We Are the Pigs)

My dark star, Heroine or Still life are worth a listen. Suede have lots of great catchy tunes, you should listen to more.

*Good man.* B-Side double LP _Sci-Fi Lullabies_ is the superior entry point into Suede. The band is actually *two* bands - the first, featuring albums composed by original guitarist Bernard Butler (1993-1994) [who you just heard]; the second, featuring albums composed by genius then-17 year old replacement Richard Oakes (1994-present). Both are equally astonishing. Singer Brett Anderson is a brilliant author & lyricist, possibly the best of his generation. "Whipsnade" is about sexual revolution & class uprising (against the rich & Tory Conservativism, figures moving in unison step with the iron grace of bisexual ballet god Rudolf Nureyev) - a common theme in Suede's discography, particularly in the _Dog Man Star_ era, their Punk acumen shining through. "Whipsnade" is effectively a Sex Pistols song by way of Roxy Music. Welcome to the *Suede* club. There is much greatness to discover. If you dig Jeff Buckley then, yep, Suede is a band for you (Kurt Cobain was a big fan): She's Not Dead High Rising My Dark Star Modern Boys The Wild Ones (unedited version) Jumble Sale Mums Picnic By The Motorway Black Or Blue Pantomime Horse

This is a B-Side.. I think you will like more the new era of Suede than their critically acclaimed first one. Try "Outsiders"

You need to react to some Liam Gallagher’s solo stuff. Try “For what’s it worth” great tune that I know you will like
