    Chill people. Is it really important that either Bird or Griffey is "#1" in Seattle sports history? Just enjoy the fact that both graced your city with their presence. Our country's divided enough without manufacturing an argument to which there are no common objective parameters.

    That is a very bold statement to say she is the Greatest Professional Athlete ever from Seattle. Ken Griff is by far the greatest. Not even close. Don't forget Largent, Ichiro, Randy Johnson, Payton, Kemp, Cortez Kennedy, Stephen Alexander, and Edgar Martinez. But its her fiance making that claim so its no surprise at all. Just a foolish thing to say! The average fan knew that was a garbage comment.

    When it comes winning. Sue is the standard in Seattle. We've seen amazing talent across MLB, NBA, NFL in Seattle. She stayed loyal to the city her entire career. Broke league records and most importantly she won... a lot.

    @@TheFunkytownGotcha the statement wasn't if she won or not, or if she was loyal. It was she is the Greatest Professional Athlete in Seattle history, which she certainly is not!..Not even close. And there isn't alot of movement in the WNBA to start with.

    As someone from Seattle I'm fine with the statement. In Her sport she's widely considered Top 5 all time. Her resume speaks for itself. I'm not gonna go into comparing a woman vs a man in the physical athletic standpoint. That is not at all what Megan was saying behind her point of view. Surely you were able to understand this.

  • @lawrencestonebraker6996

    @lawrencestonebraker6996

    @@TheFunkytownGotcha I am not saying anything about genetics or anything like that. But to say she is better at her sport than Griff was is just stupid. Griff is easily top 5 all time. Sue is great, I watched her in college, but she is not the greatest athlete in Seattle history. Take a poll with you friends without mentioning names or suggestions and see who they say. I know my friends up there wouldn't say it was Bird.

    Bill Burr actually had a good point about this in his new Netflix special, saying how many of the people who fought for a women's national basketball league haven't supported the organization they fought for the existence of. I genuinely do hope that at some point, the WNBA becomes successful from a business standpoint, but I don't see that happening anytime soon (I'm trying to root for those players while also having common sense)

Sue Bird in her prime couldn't beat the top male high school players in anything athletic or basketball related. This society is a joke. ESPN is pathetic.
