I'm sudanease and places I suggest you to go to: Afrah Mall for the food and for the ice skating. Also go to Ozone. Its lowkey the best restaurant which is outdoor. There's ice cream, pizza, sandwiches, hot drinks, cold drinks, pasta, and many many more. It has water air coolers sprayed all over and fans its just AMAAZZZZIIIIINNNNGGG. Also you can go to Sama style only if you're a woman, its a swimming pool and it also has a hair salon, only for women and boys under age 8..many girls and women have fun there but there arent a lot of boys, its 30 Sudanese pounds which is 6 riyals which is less than 2 dollars for an hour..very fun! You can wear whatever you want to. There are lots of museums and I suggest you to go in Augast or in October. I recommend you to go! My country is beautttiiiifffuuul as they say Egypt is Om al Donia! then if so Sudan hiya Abo al Donia!

I experienced Sudanese foul while I was in Sudan and I enjoy it a lot. Because of that, I tried to duplicate it here in USA but did not quite test as the one I have in Sudan. I used olive oil at one time and other time I used sesame oil. I don’t know what I am missing but I suspect the oil is the one messing my foul. Do you know the exact type of oil they use in Sudan? How do I get that oil in USA? Is it cold pressed sesame oil? Thanks

I dont think its the type of sesame oil that makes a huge difference. There are various beans you can get and many of them offer slightly different flavours. I would recommend you go to the nearest arab grocery store you can find and get some foul from there. Other than that, sudanese people tend to add tomatoes, onions, falafel and a grated boiled egg to give it more flavour.

doyo Begede it's a peanut oil. BTW, Peanut oil translated as a sudanese oil in Arabic. When ever peanut mentioned in English this is translated to sudanese oil. The secret magic is the peanut Oil, and the green ground Cumin.

We don't add cumin powder to beef shayia dish, I think you meant ( add a TS of corriender powder). Cumin powder in Sudanese cuisine is used in certain dishes ie, fava beans and fish. Thank you ideed, I enjoyed watching !🙏🏾💌

As a Sudanese I can tell you there are so many variations of foul cooking process and preparation as well Some add 2 dates a tomato and an onion while cooking the foul Some add yellow lentils Some just cook it as it is For the recipe there is Ethiopian spices foul Simple foul with fresh tomato’s onions and garlic lemon and feta cheese which made its way to Sudan via the Greeks Sauced foul with tomato sauce and cooked onion also and sesame oils is a stable foul condiment As for Shia it is more like barbecued chunks of lamb or beef marinated in lemon juice coriander garlic and salt and pepper But I guess he didn’t have barbecue facility at his restaurant charcoal grilling gives an amazing taste to shia For kisra the flour mixture has to be ferminted at room temp for a distinct flavour also I always see Mum mixing rice flour maze flour corn flour and wheat flour each has its purpose but I never new why I didn’t bother to ask but well done 👍 you have done Sudanese people proud
