Suck training for 3-6 month old babies

Have you seen suck training exercises for tongue tied babies and tried them? Does your baby refuse to participate? I would guess your baby is over 3-4 months when suck as a reflex is not longer at play and baby gets to chose how they suck and what they will suck on. This is also the same reason why I recommend introducing a bottle some time between 3-8 weeks, while baby is still sucking on reflex. If you only breastfeed and introduce the bottle around 3-4 months, some babies will want to chew on it. Breast and bottle feeding work completely different and use different muscles.
This video is mean for education purposes only. Exercises should be done under the direct supervision of a trained therapist or IBCLC as the needs of every baby are different.

Hi, do you have suck training for 8 months old baby? How to strengthen tongue and have a better latch. My baby’s ties have been released and Dr. said all healed well but she keeps clicking which may be due to high palate and need tongue/mouth to be trained to use the correct muscles for feeding. Thanks so much

My baby is almost 3 months old but still has problem with breastfeeding. His latch is really bad. He refuses to latch on my finger either. When i try to do the suck training and touch his tongue, he just starts biting. 😢 But he can suck on pacifier pretty tight. Does that mean he his sucking is okay?
