The intent behind the words is pretty legit tho: either it 100% gets you on the first go, or you don't even realize it's there. The trap is so well designed it doesn't reveal itself if you wait.

60% of the time, it works every time. - Shadekitty (probably)
My dad owned a well drilling company where the majority of his work was drilling and installing water well systems for residential home. And let me tell you, nothing moves slower than something on its way to falling down a well. Its a chain of events that all happen in super slow motion, but also end up being kind of a blur. Before you know it, you're arm is shoulder deep in the well, helplessly reaching for the 'thing', but its gone. (smart phone, amp meter, pipe wrench, just to name a few)
[squints] "... I'm dumb, chat." I mean, yes, but in the absolutely best and most entertaining ways. ❤️😂
This level has some magician tricks in it. Even in the first two screens it uses the concept of misdirection. You are busy looking somewhere else and suddenly quarter (Fish) in the ear.

After the terrible day I had, it is such a welcome sight to come have some laughs at Carl's expense. Thank you Mr Sagan42
Can we please appreciate the facepalm picture when you go through the last door? Perfect ending for a great troll level. Had me giggle dozens of times. And as always, kudos to Dave :)
A dumpster fire in a flood lol. Flawless execution by whoever was the editor for this one.
Oh, I’ve definitely experienced that time slowing when I’ve dropped something I think it’s kinda related to a theory as to why time speeds up when you get older-basically it’s because your brain processing/visual/auditory/etc. slows as you age, so it’s almost like you aren’t getting as many ‘frames per second’ to put it in video game terms. So when you drop something, your brain kicks into a quick hyper awareness and….yeah, trippy stuff
@Zeuskabob1

I think it's more correlated with memory forming. When something falls your brain kicks into high gear recording everything as it happens because of higher stress, and then afterwards you remember it happening as if in slow motion because you remember every moment of it happening. I think it's a memory-based illusion like deja vu.

The other reason “time flies” as you get older (IIRC) is because of how each year becomes a smaller fraction of your life.

Great level with impeccable timing a few times. Carl seemed a little extra blind today. I was looking at that green platform under the key and thought no Carl you wouldn't.
13:58... peak editing there Dave. That needs to be a twitch emote
that falling piranha plant troll is crazy :O never seen anything like it before!
Anyone else not watched Carl in a while, and now is startled every time he dodges a fish?
That starting spike got Carl so good he pounded on his desk and broke the fabric of time around him.
Best troll level i have seen in a long while, genius
I like how good and gorp has become just in your vocab now
Carl is a master at playing levels perfectly as in falling for trolls
2:12 "It will never get you on the first go, unless it gets you on the first go!" 🤯
At 3:36 if you pause at the right time (or advance by frames by pressing , and .) right before the confetti you can notice that his editor got it from Green Screen Effects!
Thanks for your content, bro. Truly, one of the few I look forward to. When I see new content, I legit get excited and set apart time so I can truly watch. Hilarious video man, keep it up as long as possible. Thanks lol.
Thank You for SGDQ, and crew. & Thank You for the first 2 min of this upload 👍🏻

ShadeKitty played Carl like a Stradivarius
16:14 Carl _almost_ showed learning, but fumbled it.
In regards to the time slowing down sensation, there is a reason for that. Our eyes operate like a video with a set refresh rate. For sake of argument say it is 60 frames per second. Our sense of time is partially based on how many frames the brain sees, so if we see 90 frames our brains equate that to 1.5 seconds. During periods of stress our body kicks into overdrive and ups our eyes' refresh rate to, say, 120 frames per second. So in that same 1.5 seconds we now see 180 frames. But our brain still calculates time normally so it thinks 3 seconds have passed. Net result, it feels like more time has passed than actually did, which gives the impression of things being in slow motion.
Havent watch your videos in a while I definetly need to get back into watching these

loved this one lol, such a good level
I was trying to figure out how he would die to the spike in the beginning… I didn’t know what I was expecting. 🤦♂️
Sometimes I rewind just to watch the facecam reactions to a good troll. 3:28 is one of my favourites.
Having worked in a kitchen for 2 years, the 'grab something that's falling' instinct and the 'the thing is probably 425F' knowledge have still not reconciled.
You really should be able to recognize a dry bones flagpole troll by now. It wasn't even trying very hard to hide it.
3:17 I'm ofishially dying.
Carl talking about things about to fall and everything goes slow motion. As a stocker this happens far too often and there are times it feels like super human reflexes when you catch that shit out of your peripheral.
The level that keeps on giving. Levels like these make me want to buy a switch just to play it.

"important lab lesson: Hot glass looks the same as cold glass" -CarlSagan42
1:17 nice
When did you get a greenscreen
Love it :)
To your slow motion question. One time I was walking with a flour sifter in my hand. It slid out of my hand and did so at just the right angle that happened slid right in my other hand. As it was moving forward
Nerds Together Strong!!!
"hot glass looks like cold glass" is also important in cooking same rule also applies to metal I wish I knew how much nerve damage I have from someone leaving a pan that has been on a hot stove for god knows how long without any cold water running
The reason things appear to be slow motion is that we're in a simulation and it's a bit of computational lag to figure out how to simulate our reaction and physics of the falling object..... that or our eyes are really broken pieces of evolutionary jank and lies to our brain about information (like looking away from a clock hand then looking back and it taking longer than a second to tick over).
The ending looked like and evil face with the icicles as teeth
Carl uploads right after Neil deGrasse Tyson uploads a video titled "What is Spaghettification?" Coincidence? Yeah, probably. :P

You can make directional timers with Mario and units when entering a space. Meaningg when scrolled locked. You can make it so you have to rush to switch a state or nothing. Or punish for rushing... Then nothing. Punish makes more sense since there is no discovery. It's as simple an enemy with a power on it and a thwomp. Not sure on there set up have to check the editor.
