he won't test it with aero active cooler. these coolers are a gimmick in my opinion they are large and dray power from the phone. if you are playing a competitive game using gyroscope it will be hard to control. not worth it

I have used cooler with rog 3, red magic 6S, iphone 12 pro max, and iphone 13. It did have a big performance difference over long hours on every device so i wouldnt call it a gimmick. Only problem was condensation (I can see water droplets inside the back of the transparent red magic 6S pro) so if rog 6 got a solution for that it'll be great.

@@aakarshgupta7791 most people will play Competitive games like PUBGM or CODM or Apex in the lowest settings tho Even pro players do this because Low graphics provide a much better vision of your surroundings without all the effects and distractions So I kinda doubt anyone would really Actually need a cooler especially with such a powerful device that can no doubt sustain absolute max settings on BR games without overheating

Look at the power consumption...It is too low compared to others. Need some software optimization to unlock its full potential.

@@alienritualgt5179 Because k50 has better cooling. This phone is locked at power consumption because it can't handle more power and heat. If you want this phone to consume 6,7W or around that, this phone will have too high temperatures and it will damage the soc and other components. That wouldn't also be comfortable to hands.

more performance = more heat, it's physics and not magic ... to decrease the heat a little lower your settings. Want to play hours non stop, buy a nextgen console (Xbox/PS)

You should add a column with the resolution of each device/test, otherwise the results table is a bit useless

I think that the gaming will be cool with the help of Mediatek dimensity 8100 chipset.

The upgrade on poco x4 gt is the chipset D8100 flagship killer and it's battery (stable fps performance with power efficiency), the price is already close to f4 just because of this and if they also put amoled the price is higher than f4 (only wins on display and camera

This looks weird, I've seen other tests that had around 45 avg fps I have no idea whats happening but me and my friend has this exact same phone and got it around the same time frame, we both played genshin on performance mode and i had better fps than him at the same spot He had roughly 41 just by walking around but never dropped below 30 Mine was at 48, lol he ended up asking me if we had different settings and checked performance mode

Ini soal limit performa aja, update software tetep memungkinkan buat optimalin performanya, dia makan 4.5watt an daya buat fps segitu, F4 aja makan 6-7 watt, jadi kemungkinan masalah optimalisasi atau heat dispation doang. Jadi tetaplah kecewa karna gak rilis di indonesia :)

Golden retriever's benchmarks are like the only anomaly here. Everyone else's got extremely stable benchmarks except for him. He either set up the phone wrongly (wrong settings) or skewed the test with a lemon somehow. Take Kenneth takata's benchmark for example. Same phone model but completely different results.

Btw did you boost the x4 GT in this test, there is this turbo mode feature you can boost the phone if you slide to the e left. Just asking , and do you think x4 GT will get optimization down the road ? Or this is fix, and that will not fix this phone. Because it's cheaper And can you do another test maybe in 3 months or so? Always remember... Buy the phone for what it is today not what it will be a few months later(few updates). Poco is restricting SOC's power usage. So unless you somehow magically fit this phone with a better cooling system or root it you won't get any better performance.

The problem here is the overheating. Performance degrading because of the overheating 43°c even if you use Admin settings, performance mode and game turbo it's still will perform bad because of the bad cooling system. Redmi K50 is better because of the great cooling system

Well obviously it has poor performance compared to regular redmi k50 & realme gt neo 3 both the aforementioned phones cost way more than poco x4 gt it is understandable that they have reduced the performance but I think in it's price range it is the best that there is & this review is only based on genshin impact I'm pretty sure other games like COD, Apex & Pubg will run smoothly at max framerate without breaking a sweat. To get a better perspective & to make it fair test with other games has to be done because most people might not even play genshin.

How is Realme GT neo 3 cost way more? When it cost only 335$

Can also please do a test on Oneplus 10r (oneplus ace in cn). It has the Dimensity 8100 max and looks a lot like the realme gt neo 3.

Try to update the Mi Security app and use a game turbo From my experience on my Poco f3 before it thermal throttle and turns my refresh rate automatically to 60 fps whenever I reach 43c+ while I'm playing a 120 fps game but when I use the latest game turbo my phone didn't even slows down while gaming even tho it hits 50c+ and it's just playing around 118 to 121 fps

Have u try force stop joyose? Been doing this with F3, 11T and X3 Pro. Got better performance after that and of course, cooler or air conditioned room + stand fan direct into ur face and ur phone is a must cuz it will be hot.

@@jairhernandez4623 for me, nah. I didn't uninstall or remove it. I did it by opening the game and take a few second to go to setting, find joyose and force stop it. Did this everytime i want to play heavy games. If u want to run joyose back immediately, restart the phone. Joyose eventually will run again if u did nothing or while not playing any games like doing socmed thingy. Edit: i can't pinpoint when joyose will run again by itself after i done with my game. But yeah it will. This happened only if u do other things than game. Edit 2: i force stop it. My phone still works fine. F3, 11T and X3 Pro tested.

@@jairhernandez4623 i only doing this on genshin. X3 Pro from capped 43 fps when character idle, idk why but it is what it is, to sharp 60 when ur character idle. Poco F3 seems to throttle less when force stop joyose, F3 i can salute that it givin u best performance with joyose on or off, but obviously better when joyose off, both can sharp 60 when idle character, it's just who is throttle early or throttle later, under heavy load like fighting with enemies, joyose off give more stable fps over joyose on. 11T sometimes idle character fps around 47- 50fps to 52 - 60fps, joyose off seems givin better fps and can sharp 60 sometimes when character idle, occasional frame drop here and there still happens, joyose off helps u givin more frame rate than joyose on.

@@jairhernandez4623 The performance improvement when joyose off while genshin, i can tell is X3 Pro - huge improvement on performance. Joyose off is really a must, or i will not touch this device at all 😂. If overheat, even with joyose off it will throttle a lot!! 11T - slight to moderate improvement on performance. Joyose off is a must. On par with F3 when inside domain, occasional frame drop appear more when fighting enemy compare to F3 inside domain. F3 - slight improvement on performance. Givin u the best experience when joyose off.

Turn off joyose on apps to remove the fps cap on genshin impact (it is cap@ 50fps, might go hotter tho but i guess more stable. It is a software that controls/limit some game fps. Just force stop it. A restart will make it turn ln again

How come it performed só well in one Plus ace and gone bad in x4 gt?

Uh to fix the fps limit unintsall joyose, its a bloatware that handles gaming and sms messages in the phone but it limit the fps

The actual price is 380€. even at 300€ it isn't worth it, because f3 is similar in performance, it has amoled screen instead of ips and you can actually find it at around 200€, depending on where you are looking. If we talk about the normal price, u add 20€ and get k50 at the same ram/storage variant, so this phone isn't worth it.

@@vitormascarenhas4884 F3, not f4. You can actually find f3 much cheaper, as it is pretty old and it gives similar performance to x4 gt. But if you put more money you can get gt neo 3, as you said. But f4 is definitely not worth it.

@@gemersonization Definitely not. The screen is already amoled 120hz and it is pretty good on f3 and the soc is the same as the f4 one. F4 has much better cameras and better charging speed though, but not worth the price difference.

miui is just trash, has updated on all phones to a lower throttling point. hahahahah ... throttling is not a cons, it is a protection mechanism when you have no cooling system, fan and graphite protection for the SoC components. You have no clue in electronics !

@@speedoflight33 it's way too aggressive tho 33- 35 degrees in a game is fkn ridiculous it's what you get with a sd8 gen 1 in normal use lmao 45 degrees is definitely warm but fine for a battery as long as you are not charging you practically can't really hurt your internals since thermal shutdown would forcefully save you i get around 50-60 fps in genshin using pandora kernel which is absolutely fine

Golden retriever's benchmarks are like the only anomaly here. Everyone else's got extremely stable benchmarks except for him. He either set up the phone wrongly (wrong settings) or skewed the test with a lemon somehow. Take Kenneth takata's benchmark for example. Same phone model but completely different results.

'coz his test in k50 with the same soc performed way better. Maybe the bigger vc chamber + miui vs poco played a huge role in difference

one tick, force stop "joyose" app in config for best performance when u play any game

first of all, you probably didnt add the memory extension to pull it to the 8gigs of ram, thas all

pro tip don't run in performance mode run in balance mode which down clock ram give soc more performance

Nope, redmi note 11t pro IS Poco X4 GT, it's the same phone just different name But the Redmi K50 however, performs way better than X4 GT

Update 31 jan 2023: The phone can run easily with 50-60 fps in monstad, 40-60 in liyue,40-60 in inuzuma and 35-60 in sumeru . All the test is from highest settings with 60 fps and miui 13.0.8

You should put Xiaomi phones in performance mode in the battery compartment to use the entire power of the processor

No. If performance optimization is on in game turbo and performance boost is on in game booster then battery settings performance mode won't do anything

It does nothing. It's just consuming your battery way faster but performance wise it is still the same.

MIUI is the problem when it comes to performance. They control some devices via software 😐.

I think it,s A Software Issue . It can Be fixed With Software Update . Try Using Performance Mode In Battery Settings It Should Help
