I am white and know a lot of black youtubers do a lot of white rock music, but there's so much black music that I grew up with that is incredible and I love to see when younger black people get to see that too.

We grew up with the best music. Very happy teen years waiting for new songs constantly. Songs you could sing along with. Best times. Sorry for the youth today. Thanks for putting these songs out there for younger people to discover😂😊

I'm 72 years old, so I grew up with this music and am so grateful. There are very good, even great young singers nowadays. I'm thinking of Lewis Capaldi, Harry Styles, Calum Scott among others. I enjoy their music. But there is a fundamental difference, which is not their fault, that separates them from this older music. It's a sense of innocence and wonder with the world and life. Something hard to tap into in this world we have today.

The Drifters were one of the early 50's doo-wop R&B groups. They had a lot of great songs such as "There Goes My Baby", "Save The Last Dance For Me", "This Magic Moment", "Some Kind Of Wonderful", "Please Stay", "Up On The Roof", "On Broadway". Ben E. King was in the group at one time but left for a solo career in the 60's. He had big hits with "Stand By Me" & "Spanish Harlem".

I graduated from high school in 1965. We lived in the desert, but we would go to San Diego to the beach every chance we got. This was a really great song during that time. Brings back good memories. I don't think we had a board walk then.

The Drifters were kind-of the class clowns of early sixties music. They did a number of great novelty songs which made them famous, but then there was this beauty.

This is an all time rock and roll great song .I live in Long Beach , NY , which is a town on a small island just off the south shore of Long Island . We have a 2 1/2 mile long boardwalk along the Atlantic . This song is the official anthem of our town . Our kids and nearly all of the other local kids got their sex education under that boardwalk .

Many and I do mean MANY years ago, I was playing Blackjack @ the 4 Queens Casino in old LV. I was at a BJ table by myself when 15 feet behind my left should the music started. There was an elevated stage where these guys started singing this song. It blew me away. That would never happen these days. Happy you enjoy this as much as so many of us have for so long Sarah.

In the 1950s, Blacks were only allowed on the boardwalk to work concession stands. So while those above burned feet on the boardwalk, the poorer side of the city stayed cool in the shade below. 😎
