I always figured Trump's family was the inspiration for the show, so I'm not surprised it works. Obviously, I think Logan Roy is based more off media moguls Rupert Murdoch or Roger Ailes, but on the family aspect I think the kids and family dynamic are meant to be a reflection of the Trumps.

This made me remember that once upon a time Donald Trump was a young man, he was once a kid, which is obvious but it’s so weird to actually think about. There was a time where he didn’t care about politics or money, he just wanted to play and have fun like all kids. Everyone was once an innocent kid, we all start out the same.

@@valeriag9443 For sure, anybody who looks at anyone with power, will find ugly things. Nobody totally nice gains power. Ask Atilla. I think because of this is it folly to expect our leaders to be saints. They just need to be good for the people they are supposed to serve. So long as they are dutiful and effective in office, I will not nitpick the dirt under their nails. After all, the purely innocent rarely make good leaders.
